Counting Crows Take the Field This Summer With 'The Rock 'N Roll Triple Play Ballpark Tour'

- Hey, it's Adam, I just wanted to let all our fans know that Counting Crows will hit the road this summer on a tour of America's baseball parks. We're starting on July 22nd in Wilmington, DE at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium, the Home of the Blue Rocks. We're gonna hit 23 different ballyards all across the country (they're all listed below), mostly in smaller towns.

One of the reasons I'm so excited about this little jaunt we've decided to call "The Rock 'n' Roll Triple Play Ballpark Tour" is that we got really lucky and talked both Live and Collective Soul into coming along for the summer. We've even got Third Eye Blind hopping on for a few shows. Most of you probably know that Live are both old friends AND old touring partners of ours. We spent the summer together when CC was touring on our 3rd album "This Desert Life." What you may not know is that on Saturday, May 21st, 1994, Third Eye Blind played their 1st show ever opening for Counting Crows at the historic Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco. We've never toured with Collective Soul before but we've played festivals together and ... well, they're just a great band.

The other reason I'm really excited about this summer is that I grew up in a college town and I've always loved those kinds of places. That's why Counting Crows has always done so many tours outside the big cities. I'm definitely a city boy myself. Hell, I live in New York City. But this is a big country and, as much as I love a city, too many bands forget that there's a hell of a lot of America out there that's not New York or Chicago or LA. We haven't forgotten that and we're never going to forget it.

So if you live in Pawtucket, Rhode Island or Fargo, North Dakota or Sedalia, Missouri or Sauget, Illinois or any of the other 20 or so yards we'll be playing this summer, then we'll see you there. If not, get in the car and take a drive. Like I said, it's a big beautiful country. You ought a see it anyway. That's what I'm gonna do.

Okay. So that's settled. Now on to the "press release" part of this...uh...press release. I didn't write this next part but it's still important (it's got all the tour dates, after all) so read the whole thing. Anyway, this is the end of my personal compositional involvement (note the big word usage). It's been nice talkin' at ya. Here's the rest:

Counting Crows hail from the San Francisco Bay area and consist of Adam Duritz (vocals and piano), Jim Bogios (drums), David Bryson (guitar), Charles Gillingham (keyboards), David Immergluck (guitar), Dan Vickrey (guitar), and Millard Powers (bassist).

Counting Crows success dates back to their 1993 debut album "August And Everything After" and the hit single "Mr. Jones." Subsequent albums include "Recovering the Satellites" (1996), which included the hit song "A Long December"; "Across A Wire: Live in NY" (1998); "This Desert Life" (1999) and "Hard Candy" (2002), which featured the band's Top 10 cover of Joni Mitchell's "Big Yellow Taxi." In 2004 the band released their first ever "Best Of" set "Films About Ghosts," which featured songs from every phase of Counting Crow's recording career, followed by the live album "*New Amsterdam: Live at Heineken Music Hall 2003," which appeared in 2006 and was greeted with universal awe and acclaim (This is Adam again. Okay, I admit I added the end of that last sentence. It just sounded better that way).

The band's most recent successes include a #1 hit with the song "Accidentally In Love," the opening theme for the movie "Shrek 2," which aside from selling over a million records, garnered nominations in 2005 for a Grammy Award, a Golden Globe Award and an Academy Award (none of which we won, which still pisses me off-sorry, Adam again). Counting Crows has sold over 20 million records worldwide (I didn't write that but it's cool, huh?).

LIVE, a band that came of age in the early nineties, one of rock's most creative periods, remains intact. The same four guys who debuted at the middle school talent show in York, PA and saw the release of their debut album "Mental Jewelry" and their breakout follow up "Throwing Copper," are still together making music 20 years later. LIVE has sold over 20 million CDs worldwide and has had numerous singles reach the Billboard charts including such hits as "Selling the Drama," "I Alone," "Lightning Crashes," "Lakini's Juice," "Dolphin's Cry" and "Heaven."

Formed in the early 1990's, Collective Soul has enjoyed major popularity as a successful rock band for over a decade. Since the release of their first album "Hints Allegations & Things Left Unsaid" in 1994, Collective Soul has sold over 10 million CDs worldwide and has had 19 singles reach the Billboard charts including such hits as "Shine," "Gel," "Better Now," "December," "The World I Know," "Heavy," "Why Part 2," "Where the River Flows," "Precious Declaration," and "Listen."

-- "SNAKES AND ARROWS," the acclaimed new album from Anthem/Atlantic recording group Rush, makes an impressive debut on the Billboard 200 this week, entering the chart in the #3 spot. This marks Rush's highest chart debut since 1993, as well as the group's eleventh top ten album in the U.S. The renowned rock trio's first new collection of original material in nearly five years proves they still have what it takes to produce explosive and innovative music.

"SNAKES AND ARROWS" has also debuted at #3 in the band's native Canada and at #13 in the UK, which marks the band's highest British chart ranking in 16 years. In other international news, the album has premiered in the top ten in Sweden and Finland, and in the top twenty in Norway, the Netherlands, and Japan.

Rush -- Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, and Neil Peart -- will trumpet the release of "SNAKES AND ARROWS" with a full-scale world tour, the band's first since 2004's "An Evening with Rush: 30th Anniversary Tour." The legendary trio will kick off the tour in June with a four-month trek across North America. In October, the band will head to Europe for a series of much-anticipated performances.

The triumphant debut of "SNAKES AND ARROWS" follows the recent premiere of the album's first single, "Far Cry." The track was the #1 most-added song at rock radio and has hit the top five at mainstream rock outlets, with airplay on over 100 stations in the U.S. The single's companion video was directed by Chris Mills and can be seen at: http://link.brightcove.com/services/player/bcpid824493256

Furthermore, Rush has been featured in a variety of national publications, highlighted by simultaneous cover stories on each member of the trio in Guitar One, Guitar World's Bass Guitar, and Drum!

Since releasing their self-titled debut album in 1974, Rush has been universally regarded as one of the most inventive and compelling groups in rock, famed for Lee, Lifeson, and Peart's virtuoso musicianship, epic soundscapes, and dramatic lyricism. The band's extraordinary body of work -- which includes such acclaimed works as 1976's "2112," 1981's "MOVING PICTURES," 1996's "TEST FOR ECHO," and 2002's "VAPOR TRAILS" -- has achieved worldwide sales exceeding 35 million units.

Funeral For A Friend to Tell "TALES" Through the Summer; Welsh Rock Outfit to Headline "All Hands On Deck Tour" in Advance of Vans Warped Tour '07; "TALES DON'T TELL THEMSELVES" in Stores May 15th

-- Atlantic recording group Funeral For A Friend has unveiled details of their upcoming new album, "TALES DON'T TELL THEMSELVES." Produced by the legendary Gil Norton (Pixies, Foo Fighters), the album is the critically acclaimed Welsh rock outfit's third set, following 2003's "CASUALLY DRESSED AND DEEP IN CONVERSATION" and 2005's "HOURS." "TALES DON'T TELL THEMSELVES" arrives in stores nationwide on May 15th.

Funeral For A Friend will herald the album's release with a series of eagerly anticipated North American headline dates. Dubbed "All Hands On Deck," the tour will see the band supported by Alexisonfire, Emanuel, and Fightstar, and will kick off on June 12th at the Knitting Factory in New York City. From there the trek will wind its way west, where it will culminate in a June 26th finale at the famed Troubadour in West Hollywood, California (see itinerary below). A special ticket promotion will be offered to members of the FFAF fan community, with those purchasing blocks of four tickets receiving the opportunity to meet and greet the band. For complete details, see the band's official website, www.funeralforafriend.com.

FFAF -- which has just wrapped a major European arena tour alongside My Chemical Romance -- will remain in North America through mid-summer, traveling as part of Vans Warped Tour '07. The annual roadshow begins on June 29th at Pomona, California's Pomona Fairgrounds, with dates slated through an August 3rd performance at the Tweeter Center in Camden, New Jersey.

The first single from "TALES DON'T TELL THEMSELVES" is the intricate and powerful "Into Oblivion (Reunion)." A video recently debuted on the band's MySpace page (www.myspace.com/funeralforafriend), drawing a staggering 14,000 views in its first twenty-four hours online.

FFAF will be an active online presence in the coming weeks, beginning with its newly re-launched official website, www.funeralforafriend.com. On Monday, May 7th, MySpace will host an exclusive Listening Party, giving fans their first chance to hear "TALES DON'T TELL THEMSELVES" in its entirety. In addition, the band has just opened its own dedicated video channel on YouTube -- www.youtube.com/funeraltube -- which will feature exclusive video content, including behind-the-scenes clips filmed by the band members themselves. What's more, the "TALES DON'T TELL THEMSELVES" CD will allow fans access to a variety of exclusive material locked within the FFAF website, including never-before-available audio and video content.

With its grand sweeping choruses, epic widescreen ambition, and soaring guitars, "TALES DON'T TELL THEMSELVES" marks the boldest statement from Funeral For A Friend thus far. The album stands as a culmination of everything the band has done to date as well as a breathtaking reinvention.

Tracks like "Out Of Reach" are driven by FFAF's trademark searing guitar riffs, while songs like "On A Wire" and "Walk Away" display a newfound mastery of melody and song structure. With producer Gil Norton behind the board, the band took pains to hone its songwriting in the studio, cutting some of the fat to streamline their trademark sound. Still, the esteemed producer found room for towering walls of strings, French horns and a 26-piece orchestra on several of the tracks to complement the epic nature of the album.

"TALES DON'T TELL THEMSELVES" has already drawn high critical praise in the band's native UK. "'TALES...' is a triumph," hailed Kerrang! in its 5-out-of-5 star rave. "A remarkably assured, wonderfully cohesive work, boldly conceived and superbly executed." "If the tracks on 'TALES DON'T TELL THEMSELVES' were any bigger," declared RockSound, "they'd shift the earth off its axis."

Taking inspiration from a wide range of styles -- from hardcore to metal to pop -- Funeral For A Friend emerged out of South Wales in 2002 and instantly captured the imagination of rock fans around the planet. The band's 2003 debut, "CASUALLY DRESSED AND DEEP IN CONVERSATION" was a gold-certified sensation in the UK, spawning three top 20 singles and reaping widespread acclaim for its emotional, riff-heavy take on modern hard rock.

2005 saw the release of FFAF's second album, "HOURS." Produced by Terry Date (Soundgarden, Alice In Chains), the album further displayed the band's increasing depth and startling power, going on to achieve gold certification in the UK. In America, "HOURS" earned FFAF a bounty of critical celebration, with Alternative Press declaring it "brilliant," and a four-starred rave in Stuff.

Like any rock outfit worth its salt, Funeral For A Friend has toured hard since day one. Among the many highlights are international headline tours, countless festival appearances around the world (including Vans Warped Tour '05), and shows alongside Iron Maiden, the Deftones, Killswitch Engage, Story of the Year, Thrice, Atreyu, and the Used.

Funeral For A Friend is: Kris Coombs-Roberts - guitar; Gareth Davies - bass; Matt Davies-Kreye - vocals & guitar; Ryan Richards - drums; Darran Smith - guitar.

Shadows Fall to Blow Up the Summer on the Sounds of the Underground Tour; Annual Metal/Hard Rock Trek to Take Off on July 6th; New "THREADS OF LIFE" Reaps Critical Acclaim as "Redemption" Dominates the Charts at Metal Radio

- Atlantic recording group Shadows Fall has announced plans to spend its summer on the road as part of this year's Sounds of the Underground tour. Now in its third year, the annual hard rock roadshow -- presented by Hot Topic -- will see the acclaimed metal band joining a cutting edge line-up featuring such explosive artists as GWAR, Chimaira, Job For A Cowboy, and Every Time I Die. Sounds of the Underground is slated to kick off on July 6th at Dallas' Palladium Ballroom, with dates continuing through mid-August (see attached itinerary).

Shadows Fall lead singer Brian Fair said, "It is going to be another summer of insanity for the boys in Shadows Fall, and we couldn't be more stoked. Not only are we looking forward to partying with our friends in Darkest Hour, Every Time I Die, Chimaira and GWAR, but also to check out some killer music at one of the summer's most diverse festival tours. We are planning on playing a set that will include songs from the early days of Shadows Fall up to our new album 'THREADS OF LIFE' and leaving a wake of devastation behind. So bust out the sun screen, put the beers on ice and get ready to rock 'cuz the SHADS are coming back to town."

Shadows Fall is without question the preeminent metal band of its day. The Springfield, Massachusetts-based five-piece's just-released new album, "THREADS OF LIFE," is shaping up as its most successful work to date. Currently on the cover of hard rock magazine Revolver, as well as Outburn and Modern Drummer, the band is slated for additional covers of future issues of Metal Edge and Hails and Horns.

The album's first single, "Redemption," is already proving a monster hit at radio, reaching #1 at Metal outlets nationwide while also scoring top 5 adds at Active Rock. Currently 30 stations have added the track.

Produced by Nick Raskulinecz (Rush, Foo Fighters, Velvet Revolver), "THREADS OF LIFE," which debuted at #1 on the Hard Music Album Core Stores chart and #6 on the Hard Music Album Chart, has drawn rapturous critical praise from a wide range of national publications.

Spin praised the album's "ferocious hardcore precision, like the metal gods intended." The magazine called "THREADS OF LIFE" "...a virtuosic melodic moshfest that's so in line with everything metal fans have been waiting to hear since 1991, its as if Nirvana and Guns N' Roses never happened."

Alternative Press awarded the album 4.5-out-of-5 stars, hailing "a melodically richer, '80s-metal-classicist sound that doesn't just recall Metallica's thrashier glory days (to say nothing of Exodus, Testament, or Anthrax); it forces James Hetfield & Co. to rise to the challenge with their next album." The review went on to celebrate the collection as "the most unashamedly 'true' metal album any major label's released yet this year -- and it's also one of the best."

In a 5-star review, Kerrang! said of the band, "More than ever before, they sound invigorated and primed to destroy, throwing out prime balls-to-the-wall metal, the way it used to be played without ever sounding like mere throwbacks."

The "Redemption" companion video -- directed by Zach Merck (Blue October, Hinder, Converge) -- recently had its world television premiere as MTV2's Unleashed clip of the day, and has since been a staple of the weekly Headbanger's Ball. In addition, "Redemption" has been featured on recent installments of Fuse's Friday night metalfest, Uranium.

Furthermore, Shadows Fall drummer Jason Bittner will be making a number of in-store appearances at music stores across the country. The current itinerary calls for visits to Kansas City's Explorers Percussion on Monday, April 30th and Drum Headquarters on Tuesday, May 1st.

Coming off the highly successful Jägermeister Music Tour, Shadows Fall is undoubtedly the most potent force in modern metal, melding full-on thrash power with melodic, pulverizing hooks. In its first decade in existence, the band has blazed an extraordinary trail, earning a 2006 Grammy Awards nomination for "Best Metal Performance," reaping critical acclaim from metal mainstream and hardcore underground alike, and touring the planet nearly non-stop (including an ecstatically received mainstage run on 2005's Ozzfest). The band's music has been featured in video games such as "Backyard Wrestling," "Pride FC Championship Fighting," and "EA Sports Burnout Dominator." "Guitar Hero II" features the song "The Light That Blinds," from the band's landmark album "THE WAR WITHIN."

Shadows Fall is: Matt Bachand -- guitar, vocals; Paul Romanko -- bass; Brian Fair -- vocals; Jason Bittner -- drums; Jon Donais -- lead guitar, vocals.

The Steve Miller Band Launches Summer North American Tour On May 21st

-- The Steve Miller Band will launch an extensive North American summer tour on May 21st in Milwaukee, WI. Highlights include two nights (July 13th & 14th) at Chicago's Ravinia, a 17,000 capacity venue that the band sold out last year in less than 24 hours, and a hometown show on September 22nd at Mountain View, CA's Shoreline Amphitheatre (where the band filmed the concert contained on the DVD from 2006's 30th Anniversary Edition Fly Like An Eagle). The October 6th stop at Los Angeles' Greek Theatre will mark the band's first concert in Los Angeles County in nearly a decade. Prior to the tour's kick-off, the band will play the 2nd Annual Matt's Promise Benefit Concert on May 16th in New York City. Matt's Promise is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of young people affected by cancer and other terminal illnesses (see http://www.mattspromise.org/ for further details). One of the original jam bands, the Steve Miller Band emerged from San Francisco's summer of love with a sound that was distinctively different from its peers. Forty years hence, the band is still a mainstay of the summer concert season -- as fresh and vibrant as ever, melding rock, blues, jazz and pop in its own inimitable, improvisational style and attracting a fervent, multi-generational following. The band's songs have been recorded by a diverse group of artists that includes Smashing Pumpkins, deftones, Seal, Run-D.M.C. and k.d. lang.

With over four million albums sold to date, 1976's Fly Like An Eagle became the Steve Miller Band's biggest-selling studio album. (The band's Greatest Hits 1974-1978 has been certified 13-times Platinum.) Fly Like An Eagle spent nearly two years on the Billboard 200, peaking at #3 and yielding the Top 40 singles "Rock 'N Me," which was the band's second #1 single (following 1973's "The Joker"), the title track, which reached #2 on the pop charts and #20 on the R&B charts, and "Take the Money and Run," which peaked at #11. Last year's 30th Anniversary Edition Fly Like An Eagle served as both a potent reminder of the album's seminal place in rock history and the band's enduring live appeal.

"At the core is his prodigious talent, from his languid guitar playing to his vocal ease and purity of pitch, coupled with a seductive, lazy charm and his genius as a social commentator," said the San Francisco Chronicle. "This rerelease, with three bonus tracks and live 2005 concert DVD, shows how vital a performer Miller remains and how he presaged a generation of heartland rockers, from John Mellencamp to Tom Petty to Widespread Panic."

The Steve Miller Band's 2006 tour was one of the most successful in the band's history, attracting record crowds. Highlights included the headlining slot at Honolulu's Diamond Head Crater celebration. The band was one of the first groups to play inside the Crater in the 1970s and was honored to play at its first festival in decades. Earlier this year, the Steve Miller Band played a free show in New Orleans at the request of the New Orleans Saints. Over 30,000 attended the event and Miller sang the national anthem at the playoff game thereafter.

Poison Announces 'POISON'D! 2007' Summer Tour Dates for More Than 50 U.S. Cities

New Studio Album, POISON'D!, to Be Released June 5 by EMI America Records/Capitol

13-Track Album Features Hot New Recordings of Poison's Favorite Rock Classics, Including Hits Originally Recorded by David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, The Cars, Sweet, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers and More!

- Poison, one of rock's most iconic and enduring bands, will hit more than 50 U.S. cities this summer on their "POISON'D! 2007" tour. The national tour, with RATT and special guest White Lion joining Poison for most of the dates, rolls out on June 13 in Greenville, SC, with stops in and around New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Detroit, Washington, DC and other major tour markets across the country.

Poison's new studio album, POISON'D!, will be released June 5 on CD and digitally by EMI America Records/Capitol. Featuring Poison's original members, Bret Michaels (vocals), C.C. DeVille (guitar), Rikki Rockett (drums) and Bobby Dall (bass), and produced by Don Was, POISON'D! presents the band's first new studio recordings since 2002's Hollyweird. Since Poison's 1986 debut, Look What The Cat Dragged In, the band has sold more than 25 million records and DVDs worldwide.

Produced by Don Was at Hensen Recording Studios in Hollywood, POISON'D! packs 13 explosive cover songs, including new recordings of David Bowie's "Suffragette City," The Cars' "You're Just What I Needed," The Romantics' "What I Like About You," Sweet's "Little Willy," The Marshall Tucker Band's "Can't You See" and The Rolling Stones' "Dead Flowers." Some of Poison's best previously recorded covers are also featured on POISON'D!, including KISS' "Rock and Roll All Nite," Grand Funk Railroad's "We're An American Band" and Loggins & Messina's "Your Mama Don't Dance."

In July, VH1 will premiere a new reality show, "Rock of Love with Bret Michaels." VH1's description of the show has "the hard-rockin' Poison front man looking for a woman who can truly keep up with his rock-n-roll lifestyle and not become jealous of his one true passion -- performing, which has been the reason for and destruction of most of his relationships."

In 1986, Poison released their debut album, Look What the Cat Dragged In. After years of hard work, touring and controversy, radio and MTV finally took notice of the band and their music, propelling Poison into superstardom. Look What the Cat Dragged In peaked at #3 on the Billboard album charts, charted three singles and sold more than four million copies.

The band's 1988 follow-up, Open Up and Say ... Ahh! went Platinum two weeks after its release. The single "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" hit #1 on Billboard's Singles chart and the album sold more than seven million units. 1990's Flesh & Blood featured a second Gold single, "Unskinny Bop," and the album went multi-Platinum.

In 1991, amidst inner fighting, alcohol, drug abuse and road stories that would make a porn star blush, guitarist C.C. DeVille and singer Bret Michaels collided in an all out fist-fight seconds after leaving the stage of the MTV Music Video Awards (right between Cindy Crawford's high heels and Eddie Van Halen's sneakers). C.C. DeVille left the band.

Through the '90s, Poison continued to tour arenas and amphitheatres and recorded the Platinum Native Tongue and Crack A Smile. After five years of not speaking, Michaels and DeVille met up in 1999 and, with their chemistry and friendship quickly rekindled, the band went into the studio to record Power To The People. One of the most successful reunion tours of all time followed the album's release.

Last April, Poison rocketed into the Billboard Top 20 with the #17 debut of the band's 20th anniversary hits collection, The Best Of Poison: 20 Years Of Rock (Capitol/EMI). The 18-track hits collection was soon certified gold, and Poison tore through the summer of 2006 on their highly successful "20 Years Of Rock" North American concert tour.

Visit www.poisonweb.com and www.myspace.com/poison for the latest Poison news and links to other Poison-related websites.

After much speculation and anticipation following the airing of their "Behind The Music" episode on VH1 last spring, multi-platinum hard rock act RATT with vocalist Stephen Pearcy, guitarist Warren DeMartini and drummer Bobby Blotzer will grace the stage together for the first time since 1999. Plans for not only a U.S. summer tour but a full-fledged comeback are being mapped out now as the band prepares to hit the road with Poison. Joining RATT onstage will be bassist Robbie Crane and guitarist John Corabi.

White Lion, led by original member Mike Tramp (vocals), released four albums between 1983 and 1990, including 1987's double platinum Pride. Fueled by the radio and MTV success of singles "Wait," "Tell Me" and "When The Children Cry," Pride remained on Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart for a year. White Lion has sold millions of albums around the world and has toured with many of hard rock's top draws, including KISS, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Ozzy Osbourne, and Motley Crue.

O.A.R. Reveals "LIVE FROM MADISON SQUARE GARDEN"; Double-Disc CD & Double-Disc DVD Capture Band's Sold-Out January Show at World's Most Famous Arena; Summer Tour Dates Unveiled, Including West Coast Run

-- Everfine/Lava/Atlantic recording group O.A.R. has announced details of their upcoming new album, "LIVE FROM MADISON SQUARE GARDEN." The two-CD set captures the band in all its onstage glory, performing before a sold-out crowd at the legendary New York City venue this past January. "LIVE FROM MADISON SQUARE GARDEN" will arrive in stores on June 5th.

That same day will see the release of a two-disc DVD package, also titled "LIVE FROM MADISON SQUARE GARDEN." The first disc will include a 90-minute feature film -- directed by Sam Erickson (My Morning Jacket's "OKONOKOS," John Mayer's "Any Given Thursday") -- interweaving documentary footage and highlighted songs from the band's January 27th, 2007 performance at the World's Most Famous Arena. Disc Two will feature the full concert in glorious 5.1 Audio as well as an exclusive photo gallery. An advance look can be found at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQBRJdu_ffg

To celebrate the release of "LIVE FROM MADISON SQUARE GARDEN," O.A.R. will set out on a major summer concert tour. The Maryland-via-Ohio-based band -- which is currently in the midst of its spring 2007 itinerary -- will begin the trek with a series of West Coast dates, kicking off June 13th at the House of Blues in Anaheim, California. From there, the band will wind its way back East, traversing North America through an August 19th finale at Saratoga, New York's Saratoga Springs Performing Arts Center (see itinerary below).

Pre-sale tickets for O.A.R.'s summer 2007 tour are available now. General on-sale tickets for the majority of dates on the West Coast run will begin on April 28th, with many of the remaining dates becoming available to the general public on May 5th.

On January 27th, O.A.R. wrapped its winter 2006/7 tour by playing to a sold-out audience at its eagerly awaited return to New York City's Madison Square Garden. This marked the second time the band had filled the legendary venue, following their debut appearance in January 2006.

In February, O.A.R. -- in association with Control Room and MSN -- offered its devoted fanbase a sneak peak at what would become "LIVE FROM MADISON SQUARE GARDEN." The exclusive broadband concert proved such a popular success that it will return for a special one-week only re-airing. The Control Room Concert -- which is highlighted by such O.A.R. favorites as "Love and Memories" and "Wonderful Day" -- can be viewed at http://music.msn.com/oar, streaming from May 15th through May 22nd.

Since their formation in 1996, O.A.R. has blazed a unique grass-roots trail across America, revealing their compelling musical vision through near-constant touring. With their distinct rock-meets-reggae groove, fiery improvisations, and introspective, heartfelt lyricism, the band has earned a fervent following from coast to coast.

O.A.R. self-released their debut album, "THE WANDERER," in 1997, followed two years later with the live studio recording, "SOULS AFLAME." The band's third release, "RISEN," arrived in 2001 and debuted at #11 on Billboard's "Internet Sales" chart and #66 on the "Top New Artists" ranking.

The double live album "ANY TIME NOW" was released in 2002, followed in 2003 by the band's acclaimed Everfine/Lava debut, "IN BETWEEN NOW AND THEN." A second two-CD in-concert recording, "34TH & 8TH," was issued in 2004.

"STORIES OF A STRANGER," released in October 2005, has proven to be the band's greatest success to date. The collection includes a pair of radio hits in "Love And Memories" and "Heard The World," as well as "Lay Down," whose companion video clip was honored with the "Streaming Woodie" -- presented to the year's Most Downloaded Video -- at the 2006 mtvU Woodie Awards.

In addition, last year saw O.A.R. reaching a milestone moment in their career by achieving cumulative record sales in excess of 1.2 million.

O.A.R. is: singer/guitarist Marc Roberge, lead guitarist Richard On, bassist Benj Gershman, drummer Chris Culos, and saxophonist Jerry DePizzo.

The Honorary Title on Tour Now

Brooklyn Band's Major Label Debut, "Scream and Light Up The Sky," Due in August

April 12, 2007 -- Brooklyn's The Honorary Title, who are currently on the road as the support act for Butch Walker, will join Minus the Bear for a month-long tour beginning April 27th in Portland, OR (see below for all tour dates). The band is fresh off recording its second album, and major label debut, "Scream and Light Up The Sky," which will be released by Warner Bros. Records in August.

Produced by Rob Schnapf (Elliot Smith and Beck), "Scream and Light Up The Sky" is already receiving an enthusiastic reception. "Capturing a significantly fuller sound, the follow-up to 2004's 'Anything Else But The Truth' showcases their individual talents, from singer/songwriter Jarrod Gorbel's ultra-personal lyrics to bassist/keyboardist Aaron Kamstra's classically influenced instrumentals," says CMJ.

Operator to Set Out on Major U.S. Tour; Hard Rockers Join Hinder, Papa Roach & Puddle of Mudd on MadPackers.com's "Door To Dorm Music Tour"; Dates Kick Off on April 13th at University of Pittsburgh, as Provocative Video Lights Internet Fire

Atlantic recording group Operator has announced details of their upcoming U.S. tour. The dates herald the Los Angeles-based rock outfit's upcoming debut album, "SOULCRUSHER," set to arrive in stores on July 3rd.

The trek sees Operator taking part in the inaugural MadPackers.com "Door To Dorm Music Tour," joining a star-studded lineup that includes Hinder, Papa Roach, and Puddle of Mudd. The hard rock megabill will hit college campuses, theatres, and amphitheatres across America, kicking off on April 13th at the University of Pittsburgh's Johnstown Sports Center. Operator will wrap up their tour run on May 19, at Rock on the Range in Columbus, OH.

With its thunderous rhythms, passionate melodies, and urgent messages, "SOULCRUSHER" conjures the spirit of such classic artists as Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, and Guns N' Roses, yet maintains a spirit and philosophy that transcends its influences. Tracks such as the volatile "Nothing To Lose" and the swaggering title track offer ample evidence of Operator's no-holds-barred attitude and passion for creativity.

"SOULCRUSHER," the album's first single, is currently drawing major heat throughout the online hard rock community. The track's striking companion video -- for mature audiences only -- can be viewed at a number of sites, including http://link.brightcove.com/services/player/bcpid687903091.

Mêlée Set to Release "Devils & Angels" April 3rd on Warner Bros. Records

On Tour Now Thru May

-- Up-and-coming pop-rock quartet Mêlée are currently on the road previewing songs from their upcoming major label debut album, "Devils & Angels," released today, April 3rd, on Warner Bros. Records.

The Orange County-bred band that Alternative Press says to "Keep Your Eye On" -- vocalist/keyboardist Chris Cron, guitarist/vocalist Ricky Sans, bassist Ryan Malloy, and drummer Mike Nader -- has been touring with Bowling For Soup, Over It, and Quietdrive, and will continue with The Rocket Summer and The Early November through mid-April, and Amber Pacific in May.

Mêlée, who have already appeared on the Warped Tour and performed with The Donnas, Sugarcult, and Motion City Soundtrack, among others, are becoming known for their carefully crafted melodic pop, which features Cron's soaring vocals and emotive piano playing. On "Devils & Angels," which was produced by in-demand studio wiz and 2006 Grammy Award nominee for "Producer of the Year" Howard Benson (My Chemical Romance, Chris Daughtry, All-American Rejects, Head Automatica), the band display their flair for classic pop hooks, lilting melodies, and feverish guitars. Some listeners may be familiar with the group already. Their debut indie album, "Everyday Behavior," sold 15,000 copies, sparking their signing with Warner Bros. Records in September 2005.

"This album is just about being in your 20s in modern America," says Cron. "It's about our experiences right now -- with life, love, friends -- and asking questions about where we're going and what's going to happen. That's the whole theme of the album."

For more information and to listen to streaming audio from "Devils & Angels," including the first single "Built to Last," visit www.meleerocks.com.

30 SECONDS TO MARS' 'From Yesterday' is #1 at Modern Rock Radio for Two Weeks So Far

Band Will Tour UK, Australia and Europe; Series of European Festivals Confirmed

HOLLYWOOD, Calif., March 27 /PRNewswire/ -- "From Yesterday," the third hit single from 30 SECONDS TO MARS' "A Beautiful Lie," claims the #1 position on the Modern Rock chart this week. Ascending to the top slot after 22 weeks, "From Yesterday" is already demonstrating a longevity that recalls the band's previous smash hit, "The Kill." "The Kill" spent a record-setting 52 weeks on the Billboard Modern Rock airplay chart, peaking at #3 and earning the distinction of being the longest-running hit in the chart's history.

"From Yesterday" is currently #10* at Active Rock radio and the accompanying 14-minute epic short film/video is getting play on MTV, MTV2, mtvU, FUSE, Music Choice and IMF. Directed by Bartholomew Cubbins (who also directed the video for "The Kill"), "From Yesterday" was the first American music video shot entirely in the People's Republic of China and was recently voted the greatest epic video of all time on Yahoo! Music Australia.

After concluding their co-headlining stint on this year's "Rockstar Taste of Chaos Tour," 30 SECONDS TO MARS will launch a UK headlining tour, to be followed by tours of Australia and Europe. The band will perform at the Australian MTV Video Music Awards in Sydney, Australia on April 29th. 30 SECONDS TO MARS' video for "The Kill" is nominated for three awards -- "Video of the Year," "Best Rock Video" and "Viewer's Choice." (In the States, it has already won the band a series of awards and nominations from MTV, FUSE, mtvU and Billboard.) Demand for tickets has been high, prompting promoters to move the band's Sydney show to a larger venue and release additional seats for the Melbourne show. After its Australian tour, 30 SECONDS TO MARS will play a show in Tokyo, then head to Europe, where tour highlights include a series of dates with Linkin Park and numerous summer festivals.

"A Beautiful Lie," the band's second album, is certified Platinum in the U.S. and has proved to be an international hit as well. It's certified Gold in Canada and Australia and has also charted in France, Germany, Austria, Italy, Holland, Finland and Colombia. "A Beautiful Lie" was released in August of 2005
