Great Western Terrier Association of Southern California Specialty Show
Terriers from across the country gather this weekend in Long Beach, California for the Great Western Terrier Association of Southern California’s specialty show. It is the largest local entry show for many terriers for Southern California with over 100 Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers entered.
Thursday events begin with an All Terrier Futurity Competition where you can see the puppies shaping future breeds. A mini seminar on Genetics with Dr. Neil O’Sullivan, sponsored by the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier Club of America, begins at 4 pm.
Schedules for Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers are as follows (for other breeds, go to www.jbradshaw.com, shows, dates and then the specific times and rings) in ring number 18 each day:
- Friday 9 am: Sweepstakes
- Friday 10:30 am: Breed
- Saturday 9:30 am: Sweepstakes
- Saturday 11:00 am Breed
- Sunday 8:00 am Breed
- Monday 9:30 am Breed
The show is being held at the El Dorado East Regional Park (Sycamore Grove Area), 7550 E. Spring Street in Long Beach. Parking is $4 for weekdays and $6 for weekends with in-and-out privileges. We’ve heard that the parking is a bit of distance from the show, so be prepared to walk.
We hope you’ll join Monte Bubbles in her most important competition yet. It’s a meet and greet so bring your camera and she’ll pose for you.
Just point your camera at the ypung lady and say "Camera Monte."
