Academy Award(R)-Nominated Composer Danny Elfman Meets The Robinsons on Walt Disney Records' Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

All-Star Artists Rob Thomas, The All-American Rejects, Rufus Wainwright, Jamie Cullum, Jonas Brothers and They Might Be Giants Contribute Newly Recorded Tracks

Mar. 20, 2007 Walt Disney Records introduces the soundtrack to Meet The Robinsons, Walt Disney Pictures' upcoming animated comedy event of the spring. Among the many surprises and delights of Meet The Robinsons is the film's music - including a pop-driven soundtrack with original songs by acclaimed singer/songwriter Rufus Wainwright and Grammy Award(R)-winning mega-hit pop star Rob Thomas, and an inventive symphonic score from three-time Academy Award(R) nominee Danny Elfman.

"I've always somewhat avoided animation because the music can get kind of silly and spoofy, but Meet The Robinsons not only struck me as very creative and crazy in the best sense, but also as very emotional," explains Elfman. "It meant that I could, on the one hand, do some stuff like Carl Stalling, who composed for the classic Warner Bros. cartoons, while on the other also write big melodic themes that relate to story and character."

The Meet The Robinsons soundtrack, comprised of eight songs, ten score selections and almost as much joyful diversity as the Robinson family itself, features the lead single "Little Wonders" from Thomas and "The Future Has Arrived" (co-written by Elfman, Nick Wheeler and Tyson Ritter) from the new runaway hit rock/pop ensemble The All-American Rejects. The album also showcases three songs written by Wainwright, who performs the CD's opening track "Another Believer" and "The Motion Waltz (Emotional Commotion)." Dynamic British performer Jamie Cullum performs the Wainwright-penned "Where Is Your Heart At?" and the big band classic "Give Me the Simple Life." Rounding out the disc's vocal tracks are bonus songs from the teenaged, hyper-energized trio Jonas Brothers and the ever-innovative duo They Might Be Giants.

Director Steve Anderson stated, "I am so excited by the music in the movie, because it adds even more energy and emotion." Elfman and the top musical artists join an all-star cast from the film, including voices by Academy Award(R) nominee Angela Bassett, Emmy(R) and Golden Globe Award(R) winner Tom Selleck, Harland Williams, Laurie Metcalf, Adam West, Ethan Sandler and Tom Kenny.

Walt Disney Pictures' Meet The Robinsons is based on the bestselling William Joyce book A Day with Wilbur Robinson. The film follows the story of Lewis, a 12-year-old genius inventor, who meets Wilbur Robinson, a mysterious boy from the future. The two travel forward in time and spend a day with Wilbur's eccentric family, a day that will change Lewis' life forever. Filled with unforgettable characters, clever contraptions, classic villains and all kinds of eye-popping exuberance, Meet The Robinsons continues the beloved Disney legacy of looking ahead to a dazzling world of tomorrow - as it unfolds a story about believing in your family, yourself and the wide-open future. Meet The Robinsons lands in theaters March 30, 2007.

Underwater Adventure Returns to Disneyland Park In Time for ‘The Year of a Million Dreams’!

ALL NEW “FinDING NEMO SUBMARINE VOYAGE” TO “SURFACE” IN TOMORROWLAND JUNE 2007
ANAHEIM, Calif. – In preparation for a brand-new “E-Ticket” attraction at Disneyland, the Tomorrowland Submarine Lagoon is being transformed into the underwater habitat of Nemo, Marlin, Dory and friends for the “Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage.”
The new attraction, opening June 11, 2007 as part of “The Year of a Million Dreams” at Disneyland, will feature extensively enhanced versions of the eight original submarines from the fondly remembered “Submarine Voyage” attraction, which explored the “liquid space” of the lagoon from 1959 through 1998. “Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage” is inspired by the Disney/Pixar film, Finding Nemo.
“From the very beginning, we’ve combined new innovations with favorite stories to create magical new worlds,” declared Jay Rasulo, Chairman, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, when he unveiled plans for the attraction. “In ‘Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage,’ our guests will experience Nemo’s world in a way that has never been done before.”
As a member of the sub crew, guests will embark on an expedition to the site of an erupting undersea volcano.  Soon after departure, they will be delighted to discover their favorite fish friends getting into the swim of things right alongside their submarine!  Nemo and company are able to go along for the ride thanks to a stunning new animation technology developed exclusively by Walt Disney Imagineering. The Finding Nemo characters will appear exactly as they do in the film, but in a real, three-dimensional underwater setting.
Along with the improved unique underwater technology, the “Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage” will feature fully sculpted Audio-Animatronics characters, including scuba divers and the scavenging seagulls (“Mine, Mine”) from Finding Nemo.
“We are literally bringing the undersea world of Finding Nemo off the screen and into the submarine lagoon of Tomorrowland!” says Tom Fitzgerald, executive vice president and senior creative executive for Walt Disney Imagineering, creative arm for all Disney parks and resorts. “We are going to immerse our guests into an adventure that will leave them in disbelief - - they will want to experience this new attraction over and over to find out – ‘How did they do that?’”
The Finding Nemo submarine vehicles are being enhanced in a number of ways, including the addition of two extra seats and portal windows in anticipation of expanded guest interest. In a first-of-its-kind development, the submarines are being converted from the diesel power of the 1950s to a new, environmentally friendly fully electric power. With new on-board audio, guests will get to hear the sounds and voices of the underwater characters as they move alongside the submarine.  These sounds are synchronized to travel along with the figures under water using a four-channel stereophonic sound system. Guests will get to eavesdrop on the exploits of Dory (Blue Tang fish), Marlin (Clown fish), Crush (Turtle), Bruce (Great White Shark) and the members of the “tank gang,” and most importantly, take part in an ever changing adventure of trying to “find” Nemo throughout the voyage.
Along the way guests will travel through colorful undersea environments created using yet another original Imagineering-developed technology. The underwater scenes will be more eye-popping than ever before thanks to custom colors created from recycled glass, providing deeper, richer hues that last longer under water. After surviving a sub-shaking volcanic eruption, the subs will dive alongside a breathtakingly beautiful coral reef where Marlin, Nemo and all their friends gather to celebrate finding Nemo at last!
Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage is one of the new immersive experiences at Disneyland during the Year of a Million Dreams celebration, which began on October 1 at Disney Parks in the United States. For 15 months, the Resort will celebrate dreams coming true, making literally millions of dreams, large and small, come true for eligible guests. Many money-can't-buy experiences—from exclusive Dream FASTPASSES for popular Disney attractions to around-the-world vacations or a stay in the special Mickey Mouse Penthouse at the Disneyland Hotel—will be awarded at random. There are other "Dreams Come True" opportunities for guests to meet and play with Disney Princesses at Disney Princess Fantasy Faire, duel with Darth Vader at Jedi Training Academy or join in the fun of the High School Musical Pep Rally. "The Year of a Million Dreams" continues throughout 2007.
More information about the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage, TheYear of a Million Dreams, and vacations at Disneyland Resort is available at www.disneyland.com, by calling (866) 60-DISNEY, or by visiting local travel agents.

Disney's 2009 Animated Release 'The Frog Princess' Taps Into Studio's Rich Fairy Tale Legacy

Oscar(R)-Winner Randy Newman Teams Up With Acclaimed Veteran Directors Musker & Clements

The Walt Disney Studios will continue its fairy tale legacy in animation by taking moviegoers on an all-new "once upon a time" musical adventure with its 2009 release of "The Frog Princess," it was announced today by Dick Cook, chairman of The Walt Disney Studios, and John Lasseter, chief creative officer for Disney and Pixar Animation Studios. A musical set in the legendary birthplace of jazz -- New Orleans -- "The Frog Princess" will introduce the newest Disney princess, Maddy, a young African- American girl living amid the charming elegance and grandeur of the fabled French Quarter. From the heart of Louisiana's mystical bayous and the banks of the mighty Mississippi comes an unforgettable tale of love, enchantment and discovery with a soulful singing crocodile, voodoo spells and Cajun charm at every turn.

"The Frog Princess" is based on an original story written by Disney's acclaimed filmmaking duo John Musker & Ron Clements ("The Little Mermaid," "Aladdin," "Hercules"), who will also direct. Oscar(R)-winning songwriter/composer and New Orleans native Randy Newman ("Toy Story," "A Bug's Life," "Toy Story 2," "Monsters, Inc." and "Cars") will write songs and the score for this project. Peter Del Vecho, a 12-year Disney animation veteran, will produce.

Commenting on the announcement from The Walt Disney Company's 2007 Annual Meeting of shareholders, Cook said, "We're pleased to be here in the heart of New Orleans to announce 'The Frog Princess,' a great story with all the ingredients that go into making an extraordinary motion picture experience. Like many of Disney's most popular fairy tales, it has elements of magic, fantasy, adventure, heart, humor, and music. The film's New Orleans setting and strong princess character give the film lots of excitement and texture. We're also thrilled to have John Musker, Ron Clements and Randy Newman lending their talents and creative energies to this project. John and Ron helped to usher in Disney's second golden age of animation nearly two decades ago with 'The Little Mermaid,' and are on track to create the Studio's next great fairy tale adventure."

John Lasseter added, "Aside from being longtime friends and colleagues, John and Ron are two of the most influential and imaginative filmmakers in the animation medium, and I am so excited to be working with them in bringing their creative vision for 'The Frog Princess' to the big screen. They've come up with an original story that is deeply rooted in the fairy tale tradition, and it's filled with great humor, emotion, and musical moments. Randy Newman brings fun and excitement to every project, and I couldn't think of a better choice to deliver some wonderful New Orleans style music."

John Musker & Ron Clements have directed and produced five feature films for Disney including "The Little Mermaid" and "Aladdin." Additionally they received story and/or screenplay credits as well. Musker began his career at Disney in 1977, after studying character animation at California Institute of the Arts (CalArts). He started as an assistant animator and went on to animate on "The Fox and the Hound." Clements started at Disney in the Talent Development Program, and went on to serve a two-year apprenticeship under Disney animation legend, Frank Thomas. He moved from in-betweener to assistant to animator/storyman with credits on such films as "Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too," "The Rescuers," "Pete's Dragon," "The Fox and the Hound," and "The Black Cauldron."

Randy Newman is a 17-time Oscar(R) nominee and winner (in 2002) for his song, "If I Didn't Have You," from the Disney/Pixar film, "Monsters, Inc." Among his many achievements, he has contributed songs and musical scores for such other Pixar animated features as "Toy Story," "A Bug's Life," "Toy Story 2," "Monsters, Inc." and "Cars." Newman's impressive list of film credits also includes scores for "Ragtime," "The Natural," "Parenthood," "Awakenings," and "Pleasantville." He was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2002, and his other career milestones include three Grammy Awards, an Emmy, the first Henry Mancini Award for Lifetime Achievement, and an Annie Award.

Peter Del Vecho began his association with Walt Disney Feature Animation in 1995, following a 15-year stint working as a stage manager, production manager and associate producer in the world of live theater. From 1986-95, he worked for the renowned Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis, leaving there as associate producer. At Disney, Del Vecho was the production manager on "Hercules" and associate producer on "Chicken Little," among other projects. A native of Boston, he received a degree in Theatre Arts from Boston University.

Maddy, the animated heroine in "The Frog Princess," will also join The Walt Disney Company's venerable court of beloved Disney princesses as they continue to enjoy the royal treatment at Disney's theme parks, consumer products, publishing, Internet and other businesses worldwide.

MUSIC & MORE.
Bonus extras on the 2-disc DVD Platinum Edition feature both old and new music written
especially for PETER PAN. Now, for the first time, fans of this great music have a chance to
see the reconstruction of a song that never made it into the final film. Using original artwork
and the original demo recording from the 1940’s, the endearing “Pirates Song” is now
presented for the very first time. This novelty number was a predecessor to “A Pirate’s Life”
and provides a rare peek into the creative development of this classic film.
Research also uncovered a set of lyrics for a Never Land song written in 1940 which was never
set to music. This prompted the studio to send these treasured lyrics to Disney legend, Richard

M. Sherman who completed the creative process and wrote music for this special lyric.
Recorded and performed by Paige O’Hara, “Never Land: The Lost Song” is destined to
become a true Disney classic.
“The Second Star To The Right” music video performed by the vocal/dance, hip hop/pop stars

– T-Squad. Comprised of four uniquely talented young performers, this Disney Records
“super group” shares a unifying desire to spread positive thinking and diversity through phat
beats and tight moves. Watch for this music video in constant rotation in Never Land and
beyond!

GAMES & ACTIVITIES –
Here in Camp Never Land, you can “Train To Be A Lost Boy!” Take Smee’s Sudoku
Challenge with the game board drawn on the back of a map, tied to a tree. On the map there’s
a puzzle with several pictures of characters and other iconic elements from PETER PAN. Only
Smee could have made such a crazy puzzle but it’s up to you to figure it out. The game has
three levels of play and Peter Pan is there to help you with clues along the way – if you need
them.
You’ll be fighting off pirates with Tarrrget Practice – with three levels of play! Your job is to
quickly and accurately press the button on your remote control to defend yourself against the
pirate or villain right in front of you. Just be careful not to throw something at someone who
may be a friend, like Wendy, John or Michael.

Hold on and take off with Tink’s Fantasy Flight as she sprinkles you with a little Pixie Dust
and before you know it, you’re off to the skies! Follow Tink, if you can, on a high flying
adventure through the clouds, past mountain peeks, while trying not to get knocked out of the
sky by those silly Lost Boys. They think it’s better to

practice flying while having all kinds of objects launched at you! If you can complete your
flight, you’ll have proven yourself as a true Lost Boy, worthy of more Never Land adventures!

BACKSTAGE DISNEY –
Viewers will discover some extraordinary behind-the-scenes features that allow them to
explore the inner workings of how Walt Disney’s version of PETER PAN was conceptualized
and created.

A 1952 featurette entitled ‘The Peter Pan Story’ was produced by the studio to promote the
upcoming release of PETER PAN. This short film provides a treasured peek into the workings
of the Disney Studios at a spectacular time in its history. “You Can Fly: The making of
PETER PAN” will equally dazzle fans of all ages with a behind-the-scenes look at the origins
and production of this timeless classic.

We’re also given a look at some of the many ideas that were considered for the film that never
made it into the final cut. “The PETER PAN That Almost Was” bonus feature takes a look
at some of the many ideas that were considered for the film but never made it into the final cut.
These ideas include an alternate opening which starts in Never Land with Peter making his way
to London to ‘kidnap’ a mother for the Lost Boys.

One of the most unique behind-the-scenes bonus features on this collection is the dramatic reenactment of a short article written by Walt himself entitled: “In Walt’s Words: ‘Why I
Made PETER PAN.” Originally issued at the 1953 release of PETER PAN and written for a
now defunct magazine, this piece provides a rare look into the origins of a life-long fondness
for the story of ‘Peter Pan’ for Walt. This remarkable discovery from the Studio vaults, over
50 years after its first publication, reveals the initial sparks that ignited the story-telling
imagination of Walt Disney.

PRODUCTION INFORMATION

“All this has happened before and it will all happen again,” begins Sir James M. Barrie’s classic tale
‘Peter Pan,’ but it is Walt Disney and his creative team that took this famous flight of fantasy and
conceived a Never Land like there never was and never could be. Charting a course that followed “the
second star to the right and straight on till morning,” the Disney storytellers and artists used the art of
animation to capture a landscape of fantasy and the atmosphere of imperishable youth. Originally
released in 1953, Disney’s animated version of ‘Peter Pan’ remains one of the studio’s most popular
classics and, like the title character itself, seems to never grow old. Today the film is just as potent in
stirring the hearts and imaginations of moviegoers of all ages as it was on its initial release.

PETER PAN

Production Notes
Platinum / 2007

The origins of the story of ‘Peter Pan’ date back to 1904 when Scotland-born novelist and playwright
Sir James M. Barrie opened the first production of his play at the Duke of York Theater in London. To
the author’s amazement, the cynical drama critics were delighted with his fantasy and children and
adults alike were quick to literally shout their belief in fairies.

Years later, among those who saw one of the numerous road show versions of this stage hit were two
impressionable youths from Marceline, Missouri: Walt and Roy Disney. The boys raided their piggy
banks to come up with the price of admission. Walt later recalled, “I took many memories away from
the theater with me, but the most thrilling of all was the vision of Peter flying through the air.” Not
long afterward Walt got to experience this exhilaration firsthand when he landed the plum role of Peter
Pan in the school play.

Disney began talking about an animated version of “Peter Pan” as early as 1935, two years before the
release of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” In 1939 he arranged with the Great Ormond Street
Hospital in London (to whom Sir Barrie bequeathed ownership of the play) to acquire the rights to the
show, which had been filmed once before in 1925 with Betty Bronson in the lead role.

Story development and character design began at the studio in the early 1940’s and the film was
originally intended to follow “Bambi” as the next feature. The outbreak of World War II and its
ensuing financial hardships, among other factors, caused PETER PAN to be sidelined for almost a
dozen years. By 1950 the project was given a green light and the creative team shifted directly from
“Wonderland” (“Alice in Wonderland” was released in 1951) to “Never Land.”

The Disney version of “Peter Pan” was essentially a straight forward account of Sir Barrie’s original
plot with a few significant differences. For one, the title character is portrayed here as a young boy
(voiced by Bobby Driscoll) instead of the traditional stage approach of having a girl or young woman
in the lead. Such renowned actresses as Nina Boucicault, Maude Adams, Jean Arthur, Mary Martin,
and Sandy Duncan have all portrayed the role at one time or another on stage or television.

Another point of departure from the original play was Disney’s decision to portray Tinker Bell as a
human-like female pixie instead of the fairy ball of light described in the source material. The
delightful impish character of Tinker Bell took on an expanded role in the Disney film and went on to
symbolize the magic of the studio with hosting duties on the long-running television series and at the
Disney theme parks.

A third and significant difference between the animated version and the stage play was the unrestricted
and graceful ways in which the animators could show the characters flying. Never before had the
illusion of flight been so realistically pictured.

Other characters that were never possible on stage – splashing mermaids, a real dog in the role of
Nana, and Captain Hook’s ever present nemesis --the crocodile with the ticking clock, were presented
in Disney’s PETER PAN for the first time.

An entirely new musical score featuring seven original tunes by top songwriters of the day was created
for Disney’s PETER PAN each blending into the story and casting new light on the inhabitants of
Never Land.

PETER PAN

Production Notes
Platinum / 2007

PETER PAN became one of Disney’s biggest hits in its initial release in 1953 and contributed to the
studio’s economic recovery that had begun a few years earlier with the success of “Cinderella.”
Veteran animator Ollie Johnston summed up the film’s appeal by saying, “People really liked PETER
PAN because they could identify with the family life, the kids and the way the central character never
wanted to grow up. The story seemed to fit so many people.”

BRINGING THE CHARACTERS TO LIFE -

Disney viewed the title character of Peter Pan as “a boy who can do very strange things. He flies
without wings. His shadow leads a merry life of its own. He is forever twelve years old simply
because he refuses to grow up beyond that comfortable age. Most remarkable of all, he knows just
where never land is and how to get there.” Child actor Bobby Driscoll was selected as the vocal
inspiration for Peter Pan with dancer Roland Dupree providing agile movements on live-action
reference film for the animators to study. Under long-term contract to Disney, Driscoll had previously
starred for the studio in “Song of the South” (1946), “So Dear to My Heart” (1949) and “Treasure
Island” (1950).

For the voice of Wendy, the eldest of the Darling children, the directors enlisted the talents of Kathryn
Beaumont. Ms. Beaumont was also under contract to Disney and had segued directly from voicing the
title character in “Alice in Wonderland” to her assignment on PETER PAN. For three years, she
reported to the studio every weekday for schooling and occasional recording sessions and live-action
shoots.

“Working at Disney was a very happy experience,” recalled Ms. Beaumont. “It was also a wonderful
learning experience working not only on the audio part but dressing up in costumes, as I did for both
Alice and Wendy, and acting out the part for the cameras.” She

remembers the animators inviting her up to flip their drawings for her and occasional interruptions of
the production when Walt would bring his guests down to the sound stage to ride his model trains that
were being housed there.

“For the character of Wendy,” she adds, “they wanted a characterization different from Alice. She
wasn’t the practical little girl that Alice was because she was growing up and trying to be demure.
This all had to come across in her voice. When Wendy got excited she would act like a little girl again
and just rattle away. The writers built up dialogue for these moments.”

In 1998, Kathryn was named a ‘Disney Legend’ by the Walt Disney Company taking her place among
the stars of the Disney Landscape. Today, Ms. Beaumont-Levine is a retired school teacher who
enjoys traveling and her continued work for various divisions of the Walt Disney Company including
Disney Art Classics and Consumer Products.

Lending his unique vocal style to the hapless villain, Captain Hook, was the distinguished actor Hans
Conried. Conried also donned a pirate costume and a hooked prosthesis so the animators might study
his actions on film as a preliminary guide to their drawings.

PETER PAN

Production Notes
Platinum / 2007

The design and personality of Captain Hook represented a departure from previous Disney villains.
Frank Thomas, one of the studio’s legendary “nine old men” (a term applied to Walt’s inner circle of
the top animators – and with no reference to age), recalled the character’s evolution – “Captain Hook
was a new type of villain for us,” said Thomas. “We had never caricatured a villain that much before.
He could be ruthless but you could also laugh at him. As animators, we were tired of heavy, menacing
villains like the Queen in ‘Snow White’ and the stepmother in ‘Cinderella.’ We were amazed that we
could go so far with Hook and make him so funny. It sort of changed our thinking about villains from
then on.”

Thomas also recalled the great efforts that were made in creating the Captain’s long wavy tresses. This
was typical of the detail that went into keeping the look of the character consistent with his personality.

Finally, a very small character who played a very large role in the film is Tinker Bell. This fretful
fairy with the powerful pixie dust serves as a major catalyst for much of the film’s action and
ultimately saves the day in a daring climactic rescue.

The animator primarily responsible for establishing the look and personality of Tinker Bell was Marc
Davis, one of the studio’s top draftsmen and the artist most often assigned to creating beautiful women
and evil villainesses (such as Cruella De Vil and Maleficent).

“Our intention was always to make her attractive,” recalls Davis. “She is basically a jealous woman
and that is what motivates all her actions. The pouting aspect of her personality was suggested by
Barrie.”

Animator Ollie Johnston singled out the character of Tinker Bell as “a prime example of how much an
artist can do with a character that doesn’t talk by simply using pantomime. Marc made the character
much more memorable than if she had had some kind of voice and gave her an entirely different
personality.”

To help Davis visualize Tinker Bell’s complex antics, a petite young actress/dancer named Margaret
Kerry was called in to act out the scenes on film. According to Davis, “one of the greatest
misconceptions about Tinker Bell is that she was modeled after Marilyn Monroe. There is no truth
whatsoever to this. Margaret Kerry was our only live-action reference and she was a tremendous help
in allowing us to rough out the action.”

Ms. Kerry got the part of Tinker Bell after auditioning for the film’s directors. In reminiscing about
her assignment as Tinker Bell’s human alter ego, Ms. Kerry recalls, “the sessions were very exciting.
There were all kinds of props for me to interact with including an oversized keyhole which I had to
pretend to squeeze through. They also had a pair of 12-foot scissors which I had to move. It’s difficult
to do a pantomime if you don’t have a rhythm so I did a lot of action with songs like ‘The Donkey
Serenade’ going through my mind.”

Today, after a lengthy career in films, television & radio, Ms. Kerry is a certified American Seminar
Leader and a sought-after keynote speaker. Widowed, she lives in Glendale, California and remains
active in many areas of show business from the marketing side to occasional acting assignments.

THE MUSIC

The same spirit of fun and whimsy which Disney and his team tried to achieve with the visual elements
in PETER PAN extends to the film’s original musical components as well.

Two Academy Award-winning songwriters – Sammy Cahn and Sammy Fain – were called in to
collaborate on five of PETER PAN’s eight tunes. The songs range from the uplifting “You Can Fly,
Your Can Fly, You Can Fly,” to the tender ballad “Your Mother and Mine,” sung by Wendy.

The seafaring life of Captain Hook’s motley crew is further celebrated in the song “A Pirate’s Life,”
penned by Disney storyman Erdman Penner and veteran studio musician Oliver Wallace (who also
provided the overall musical score for the film). Another longstanding Disney staff composer, Frank
Churchill, wrote the novelty tune “Never Smile at a Crocodile” (with lyrics by Jack Lawrence).

The film’s rousing marching tune “Tee Dum, Tee Dee,” was written by Winston Hibler and Olivier
Wallace in collaboration with Lyricist Ted Sears.

THE STORY –

It is Wendy Darling’s last night in the nursery bedroom. Her father George says it’s time for her to
grow up and stop telling wild stories about Peter Pan, the boy who never grew up, to her younger
brothers, John and Michael.

Not long after George and his wife Mary leave for a London party, Peter Pan himself flits through the
nursery window. He is looking for his lost shadow, which has been discovered and hidden by Wendy.
Wendy awakens to find Peter trying vainly to attach the shadow to his feet. She stitches it back on for
him.

Peter Pan offers to take Wendy to his island, where she can tell fabulous stories and be a mother to his
men, the Lost Boys. Wendy awakens John and Michael. With a happy thought and some pixie dust
from Tinker Bell, Peter’s female fairy friend, the three Darlings learn to fly and head for Never Land.
They leave behind Nana, their dog nursemaid, who can only fly to the end of her tether.

As Peter and the children survey the island from a cloud, Captain Hook, Peter’s one-handed archenemy, fires a canon at them from his pirate ship. Ordering Tinker Bell to take the others to safety,
Peter stays behind to laughingly draw Hook’s fire.

Jealous of the way Peter treats Wendy, Tinker Bell rushes ahead and rouses the Boys, telling them that
Peter has ordered them to shoot down the terrible Wendy bird. Using slingshots, they knock Wendy
from the sky, but Peter flies in and catches her just before she crashes to the ground. Angry, Peter
charges Tinker Bell with treason and banishes her from the island for a week.

While Peter takes Wendy to Mermaid Lagoon, John and Michael stay to fight Indians with the Lost
Boys. The Indians surround and capture John, Michael and the Lost Boys. The chief tells them they
won’t be released until they disclose the whereabouts of the beautiful Indian Princess, Tiger Lily.

None of the Boys can tell the Indians where to find their princess, but meanwhile, in Mermaid Lagoon,
Peter and Wendy see Hook and his first mate, Mr. Smee, take Tiger Lily into Skull Rock. There, the
Captain demands that the princess reveal the location of Peter Pan’s hideout. She refuses, and Peter
swoops to her rescue, knocking Hook into the water. The Captain then faces a long-time nemesis, the
Crocodile, who has been after the Captain since getting a taste of his hand.

The Indians celebrate when Peter returns with Tiger Lily. Wendy, envious of Peter’s attention to the
Princess, leaves early and returns to Hangman’s Tree, Peter’s hideout.

In the meantime, Captain Hook has captured Tinker Bell, promising the pixie he will free her and
eliminate Wendy if she will show him where Peter lives. Tinker obliges, but Hook, going back on his
word, imprisons her in a glass lantern before leaving to destroy Peter Pan.

At Hangman’s Tree, Wendy convinces her brothers to return with her to London. The Lost Boys
decided to accompany the Darlings, but as the group leaves the hideout, Hook’s pirates capture them.
Hook leaves a gift for Peter marked ‘From Wendy.’

Aboard Hook’s ship, the pirates tell Wendy and the boys they must either become pirates or walk the
plank. When Wendy says Peter Pan will save them, Hook boasts that the ‘gift’ he left in the hideout is
a bomb. Hearing this from her lantern prison, Tinker Bell is enraged. She shatters the lantern and flits
away to save Peter.

From the direction of Peter’s hideout, a mighty explosion rends the air. Hook makes Wendy walk the plank. But just before she hits the water, Peter soars in to save her, and challenges Hook to a final duel. A wild battle rages between the pirates and Pan’s Boys. Peter and the Lost Boys are victorious.
Hook gets knocked into the sea, and begins yet another bout with the Crocodile.

Tinker Bell covers the ship with pixie dust and Peter takes the helm, setting sail for London.

George and Mary Darling arrive home from the party and find Wendy asleep at the window. She
awakens and tells them about their adventure, pointing to a gossamer ship sailing across the moon.
Her father’s expression softens, and he says, ‘You know, I have the strangest feeling I’ve seen that ship before – when I was very young.”
