As dynamic digital signage continues to grow – 40 percent annually toward one million installed displays by 20091– LG Electronics provides technology integrators with one of the industry’s most comprehensive selections of flat-panel display solutions.
As the demand for innovative, yet simple digital signage solutions increases among corporations and small businesses, LG’s latest lineup of commercial products provides technology integrators access to some of the most advanced and flexible solutions in the market today.
“A business owner’s ability to reach customers in a unique and engaging format is becoming more difficult with traditional media,” said Ron Snaidauf, vice president, Commercial Products, LG Electronics USA, Inc. “As digital signage increasingly becomes a viable option, LG is in a unique position to service, support and make technological refinements in response to business owners’ needs.”
Comprehensive Digital Signage Solutions
Addressing the industry trend focused on creating a home-like experience for consumers, LG’s Restaurant and Bar vignette at InfoComm 2007 will highlight the first-
ever plasma HDTV (model 42PX8DC) with integrated MPEG-4 technology that decodes
the MPEG-4 transmission sent by satellite content providers of high-definition programming. The technology provides compatibility with the more than 150 national high-definition (HD) channels and 1,500 local broadcast HD and digital channels scheduled to launch on DIRECTV®.
Offering technology integrators a way to minimize space requirements and maximize emphasis on content, the MPEG-4 technology is integrated into the set and does not require an external box to decode the MPEG-4 information—eliminating the need for add-on set top boxes and hookup cables.
In addition to seamless integration, the 42-inch 42PX8DC incorporates a stylish two-tone frame finish, and features Clear FilterPRO ™ with eXtreme Contour Compensation (XCC) to limit screen reflection in brightly lit rooms, eliminate haze and reduce double imaging, perfect for various restaurant and bar applications.
This unit includes LG’s built-in HDTV pay-per-view encryption enabled by the Pro:Idiom™ digital rights management system, a robust, highly secure technology platform that helps to assure rapid, broad deployment of HDTV and other high-value digital content. LG flat screens also incorporate the company’s proprietary XD Engine® technology, taking low-resolution analog signals to near high-definition levels, improving brightness, contrast, and detail and enhancing color as well as reducing signal noise.
Also at InfoComm 2007, LG is highlighting the LC5DC series of flat-panel HDTV LCDs. The 42-, 37- and 32-inch units (models 42LC5DC, 37LC5DC, and 32LC5DC, respectively) also incorporate the MPEG-4 technology. These units come equipped with integrated speakers at the bottom of the screen and a detachable stand for wall mounting options. The LC5DC units provide customers with a superior viewing angle at 178 degrees with Super IPS. For monitoring two contents at once, Picture-in-Picture is available when an additional tuner source is connected.
Other digital signage solutions include the 32-inch LCD HDTV (M3201C), which features Super IPS technology and can be used for a 4 x 4 video wall application.
The new LC7DC series’ 26- and 32-inch sizes feature “Public Display Settings,” LG’s exclusive, convenient new commercial set-up system. This new feature allows
custom installers to clone settings and easily apply them across multiple units. With nine easy-to-use control settings - public display mode, start channel, minimum, maximum
and start volume control, power and key management, factory reset, and aspect ratio - these LCDs are ideal for public installations. Showing its versatility, this series also features LG SimpLink™ technology, which allows for easy compatibility with other LG products and offers SRS TruSurround XT™ and 1366 x 768 resolution.
LG’s new touch-screen flat-panel HD LCD monitors offer another dynamic opportunity for public interactivity, enabling even more access to consumers. These large-screen HD LCD monitors, with the integrated touch-screen, feature surface acoustic wave technology. From finding your way around a campus to learning about players at a sporting event, consumers are experiencing the benefits of touch-screen digital signage.
Large Venues, Simple Content Delivery Solutions
From retail stores to casinos to airports, LG’s new Internet Protocol (IP) Solution technology enables video content delivery to multiple locations with centralized video content and display control capability. Turnkey for system integrators, this is a diverse and innovative option for businesses to reach customers. LG’s new M4210C-BA LCD Monitor utilizes the IP Solution and is capable of portrait (vertical) or landscape (horizontal) orientation, further addressing the digital signage industry’s need for maximizing space and customizing its digital signage network. This screen also has a new narrow bezel of 29 mm which enhances the use of a 4 x 4 video wall application.
As stadium capacities increase with some reaching more than 100,000 seats, the need for digital signage solutions that encourage interactivity, highlight a team’s statistics and describe a venue’s capabilities grow. LG’s new touch-screen flat-panel HD LCD monitors offer another dynamic opportunity to enhance the fan and corporate client’s experience.
For large-screen applications such as cinema lobbies and mall kiosks, LG’s new PC5DC (50- and 42-inches) plasma display series features the new “Public Display Settings,” as in the LC7DC LCD series mentioned above. With control panel lock, the
TV image will not be disturbed in a public setting.
Featuring its range of display sizes, LG will also highlight its 60-inch Plasma HDTV Monitor (MU-60PZ95V), which provides a variety of “image-sticking prevention” features. INFOCOMM/Anaheim, CA – (June 19, 2007) – Christie, a global leader in visual solutions for business, entertainment and industry, is set to unveil a groundbreaking single lamp 3LCD projector on the opening day of InfoComm 2007 in Anaheim, CA.
The new Christie LX650 is the brightest, low-profile, single-lamp 3LCD projector available, offering an irresistible combination of high brightness, high contrast, low cost of ownership and reduced maintenance, due to its advanced light engine design. Drawing on new LCD technology in a long-life, single-lamp optical engine, the compact Christie LX650 outputs 6,500 ANSI lumens, with a contrast ratio of 2000:1, and has been purpose-designed to meet the needs of small- to medium-sized conference rooms, houses of worship and education (serving audiences up to 250). With its flexibility to display high-impact graphics, computer data and 10-bit video processing for high definition sources from 6ft to 20ft wide, it will appeal equally to project consultants and rental stagers. “The brief for the Christie LX650 was simply to create an advanced light engine design with the ultimate price/performance ratio — with the flexibility to allow these markets to deliver computer data, high-impact graphics and high definition video sources from a compact design,” said Neil Wittering, director of product management, Business Products at Christie. “We also wanted true cost of ownership to be a key differentiator when competing with other 3LCD models, and thus the Christie LX650 has been designed to achieve the kind of increase in performance and reliability only previously obtained through two-lamp optical engines.” This improved efficiency is due largely to the Christie LX650’s innovative cooling and air filtration system, resulting in less servicing requirements. The first LCD projector to utilize this new optical design and self-cleaning filter system, the Christie LX650 dramatically extends service/maintenance intervals. The 2000 hour lamp life (when run in eco mode), with variable lamp power, further enhances the true cost of ownership. The Christie LX650 is offered with a choice of five lens options, with horizontal and vertical lens shift, zoom, focus and keystone correction, and a wide range of standard input formats to create the broadest range of installation and operational flexibility. The Christie LX650 will begin shipping in September, 2007. Key Features at a Glance

Polycom Introduces First Immersive Installed Audio Solution for Voice and Video Conferencing
Polycom SoundStructure Delivers Breakthrough High Definition Sound Clarity and Full-Stereo Echo Cancellation for More Productive Voice and Video Conferences
- Infocomm Expo (Booth #2000) -- Polycom, Inc. (NASDAQ:PLCM)
, the world's leading provider of unified collaborative communications
solutions, today announced the SoundStructure(TM) series, the first installed
audio solutions for voice and video conferencing applications that deliver truly
immersive sound quality. Leveraging Polycom's proven technology and market
leadership in installed audio solutions, the SoundStructure series are flexible,
scalable, and comprehensive systems that deliver state-of-the-art performance
and audio processing capabilities with breakthrough sound quality for conference
rooms, class rooms, customized meeting rooms, and telepresence environments.
"Great voice quality can dramatically improve the effectiveness of audio and
video conferences, and the SoundStructure series delivers a truly immersive
experience," said Paul Waadevig, global director, Conferencing & Collaboration
for Frost & Sullivan. "With features like full-stereo echo cancellation and high
definition audio, the SoundStructure systems enable customers to communicate
over distances as effectively as if they were in the same room."
"The SoundStructure series significantly raises the bar for installed-room
audio systems, giving customers unmatched audio quality and clarity without
compromise for their voice and video conferences," said Craig H. Richardson,
vice president and general manager of installed voice solutions at Polycom. "The
SoundStructure series with Polycom HD Voice(TM) technology complements our
industry-leading high definition HDX(TM) video conferencing solutions to give
customers an unequaled experience called Polycom UltimateHD(TM). A
SoundStructure system will provide a completely immersive collaboration
experience that can't be implemented with today's installed audio solutions."
Unrivaled Immersive Audio Quality and Clarity for Voice and Video Conferences
The SoundStructure series features several breakthroughs in audio performance
that make communicating over distances as effective as being in the same room.
For example, the SoundStructure series are the first to support high-definition
StereoSurround(TM) audio (22kHz) as well as full-stereo echo cancellation. This
next-generation echo cancellation technology makes conversations clear by
eliminating echoes while maintaining full-stereo separation of the remote
talkers' audio, even when two people are talking at the same time. In addition,
new noise cancellation technology eliminates the broadest range of background
noises, and a new gain-sharing automatic microphone mixer provides additional
flexibility and smoother transitions to ensure robust performance in a variety
of operating environments.
Greater Flexibility, Scalability; Simplified Design and Installation
The SoundStructure series are designed for installed room environments and
the needs of systems integrators and audio/visual professionals. The
comprehensive system features multiple input and output options and submix
processing capabilities that simplify installation and provide flexibility for
any room configuration. Several design features have been implemented to support
integrator needs, including:
-- 22 kHz stereo acoustic echo cancellation on all input channels
-- Feedback elimination on all input channels
-- Advanced ambient noise cancellation on all input channels
-- Flexible telephony options with single-line and dual-line PSTN plug-in
cards
-- Seamlessly scales from 8x8 to 128x128, with all inputs available to all
outputs
-- Connection to Polycom HDX systems via a digital signal path
-- 8, 12 and 16 input/output "C" (conferencing) models, plus a 12-channel
"SR" (sound reinforcement) model designed for stand-alone sound
reinforcement applications or as additional audio inputs to a
conferencing system
New SoundStructure Studio software (Microsoft Windows-based) features
advanced signal grouping and labeling, enabling systems integrators and
audio/visual professionals to leverage existing design and configuration work
during future installations. Complete offline emulation of configurations
improves efficiency by reducing the time needed on-site.
"Customers will be impressed by the voice quality delivered by the
SoundStructure systems, and systems integrators and audio/visual professionals
will appreciate the system's seamless scalability, advanced processing
capabilities, direct integration with the Polycom HDX systems, and easy
configuration," said Richardson.
"The SoundStructure devices combine a very powerful set of features,
including superb quality stereo audio, into an easy to configure system," said
Dr. Randal Abler, Associate Director of the Arbutus Center for Distributed
Engineering Education, of the Georgia Institute of Technology. "High quality
audio is an often overlooked but vital part of distance learning classrooms.
Stereo audio conferencing will vastly improve the student's sense of
participation, which is crucial to learning."
Polycom HDX Video Conferencing Integration
SoundStructure products are interoperable with virtually any video
conferencing system. However, the series features deep integration with Polycom
HDX high definition video conferencing systems, which are also designed for
custom room environments and the needs of systems integrators. A simple
connection between the devices sends bi-directional stereo digital audio between
devices, with mute and volume control shared across the platform. Polycom HDX
integration provides simplified set up and end-to-end support for features like
22 kHz StereoSurround for an uncompromising UltimateHD user experience.
Pricing and Availability
The Polycom SoundStructure series is scheduled for availability in North
America, Europe and parts of Asia in Q3 2007 through Polycom certified channel
partners for a manufacturer's suggested retail price of US$4,995 for an eight
channel system, $6,495 for a 12 channel system and $7995 for a 16 channel system
(North America). Availability in other countries is scheduled for later in the
year. Regional pricing may vary. Polycom's existing Vortex line of installed
audio solutions will continue to be available and supported.

presentation room management offerings: Arrive Easy Conference(TM), designed for
the enterprise and government market and Arrive Campus Manager(TM) for
universities, colleges and schools (see release "Arrive Launches Advanced
Presentation Room Management Solutions..." issued today). Both products are a
suite of presentation room network management tools adapted for specific use
within enterprise and education markets.
Like many other companies located in Dubai and the surrounding United Arab
Emirate (UAE), Arrive represents a new breed of company that has a strong focus
on human capital development and invests heavily in the creation of innovative
practices, technology, infrastructure and business markets and capital. This
sophistication and market prowess are enabling companies, like Arrive, to
capitalize upon their strengths and enter new markets, like the U.S. and Canada,
with relative ease and quickly establish an immediate presence.
"Through our systems integration experience deploying some of the most
sophisticated presentation room technologies, we realized the profound positive
impact a single and centralized management platform could have in improving the
productivity and value of advanced presentation and conferencing systems,"
explained Aseem Gupta, founder, CEO and chief visionary of Arrive Corp. "Having
developed both best practices and a truly innovative technology suite for
managing the entire presentation room experience, we are excited to now offer
this capability within the North American market."

Arrive Corp. Launches Advanced Presentation Room Management Solutions at InfoComm 2007
Centralized and remote management capabilities help organizations increase the value of new and existing conferencing and presentation facilities
Arrive(TM) Corp., the leading provider of easy-to-use ICT/AV convergence
solutions for the enterprise, today launched its new Arrive Easy Conference(TM)
and Arrive Campus Manager(TM) at InfoComm 2007, the industry's premier
conference and exhibition for the AV Communications Industry.
Arrive Easy Conference is designed to meet the growing requirements needed to
manage global conference rooms within multi-location business and government
organizations. The new Arrive Campus Manager allows educational institutions to
effectively manage the scheduling and associated AV equipment within lecture
halls and conference rooms spread across campuses and schools.
"Arrive Corp. is the one company that has made its mission to address all of
the growing complexities of managing presentation rooms through a single
Web-based platform that simplifies the overall management of these increasingly
vital assets," said Dr. Rafic Makki, Dean, College of Information Technology,
UAE University. "Through our deployment experience with Arrive, we expect to
save time, improve our operational efficiencies and achieve significant cost
savings by eliminating waste and gaining more value from our learning technology
investments."
Both Arrive Easy Conference and Campus Manager eliminate the need for
deploying multiple solutions that manage only a particular aspect of the overall
remote conferencing experience. For the first time, AV and IT managers have a
single control point to manage all functions associated with the presentation
facility, technology and supporting network elements. Functionality includes the
ability to manage room scheduling, device automation and control, collection of
attendee information, invitation processing, remote monitoring of conferencing
systems and equipment resource planning. It can easily integrate with existing
control systems and supports open architecture control standards and control
hardware.
"The software-based network technology introduced by Arrive is really welcome
as much of our work is meant for deployment of AV resources in global
environments, multiple countries, multiple buildings and the cost of managing
these resources are fast escalating for our customers," said Kelvin Ashby- King,
Principal, Techlogique Consulting Group. "The advance reservation and
orchestration features are unique in their user-friendliness and the remote Help
Desk and Asset Management functionality of Easy Conference fulfills the need
that no-one else has addressed in the market. This solution is long overdue."
Arrive Easy Conference and Campus Manager address the growing need for an
integrated solution to communicate, manage and maintain meeting rooms,
conference rooms, training facilities, auditoriums and lecture halls. The
flexible and scalable module set of products includes Arrive.Bookit for
scheduling and reservation management, Arrive.Controlit for centralized and
remote control of conferencing and AV equipment, Arrive.Monitorit for asset
management and monitoring and Arrive.Infinit for deploying and managing third
party Web conferencing systems.
"AV and IT professionals spend too much time and resources manually managing

Panasonic Introduces New 10 Series Plasma Line at 2007 InfoComm
- Panasonic Professional Display Company, a division of Panasonic Corporation
of North America, the industry leader in professional/industrial Plasma
displays, introduced its 2007 line of Plasmas today at InfoComm, the largest
trade show of the professional audio visual industry.
From the world's largest Plasma display, the critically acclaimed 103-inch
model -recently awarded the 2007 Display of the Year Silver Award by the Society
for Display Information - to the 37-inch Plasma and the newest addition to the
line, the 58-inch Plasma, Panasonic boasts a deep, expansive line-up with a size
and solution for every application. All of the new 10 series are high
definition, with three models - TH-50PF9UK, TH-65PF9UK and the TH-103PF9UK -
featuring superb 1080p image quality. The high definition line is completed by
four displays that incorporate a resolution of 1366 x 768.
According to Andrew Nelkin, president of the newly formed Panasonic
Professional Display Company, "We created PPDC to put an even greater emphasis
on the professional side of the flat panel business, led by our star, the 103-
inch HD Plasma. Commercial flat panels are a strategically important part of our
business and we intend to maintain and grow our leadership in both the
professional and consumer markets."
Panasonic's professional Plasma display panels have a wide range of
applications. Due to Plasma's deep blacks, high contrast, beautiful color
reproduction and high definition resolution, the 103-inch is perfectly suited
for use in conferences and presentations with large audiences, board rooms,
theater lobbies, trade shows, shopping malls, airports, hotels, sports stadiums
and in TV studios. For example, the 103-inch is currently utilized on the set of
CBS' "Early Show" and NBC's "Football Night in America." In addition, 103's have
been installed in the newly renovated Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, the Borgata,
Miami Dolphins Stadium, Pechanga Resort and Casino and the Hyatt in Chicago.
Among the system solutions offered by the 2007 line is the ability to utilize
a wireless presentation board. The user can mount a wireless presentation board
to a conference display unit that allows wireless connection of up to eight
displays and four PCs. Panasonic's Plasmas also feature the industry's best
expandability. In addition to the fixed input interface, the displays have three
interchangeable slots that let the user add different combinations of optional
terminal boards. "This gives our customer the flexibility to add digital or
analog capabilities, as necessary and to customize the system for their specific
needs, another example of Panasonic's commitment to providing the best solution
to our end user," added Nelkin.
"Our new lineup is indicative of Panasonic's commitment to providing the
broadest range of displays that deliver the crispest and clearest pictures
available to meet the widest range of professional applications. The variety of
applications is only limited by one's imagination," said Nelkin. "With brilliant
images, deep colors and cutting edge technology that doesn't limit the line of
sight, our Plasmas are perfect for digital signage and any location-application
that calls for gorgeous images. Another advantage Panasonic has is that our
Plasma panels are mercury and lead free."

LG Electronics Showcases Comprehensive Suite of Technologies and Solutions at InfoComm 2007
Single Point-of-Contact for Display and Application Solutions Ensures Seamless Integration
- LG Electronics is showcasing one of the industry's most robust flat-panel
display solutions this week at InfoComm 2007 (Booth #2309). From education to
airports and restaurants to casinos, LG Electronics offers industry
professionals some of the most dynamic, premium flat-panel technologies and
digital signage solutions in the market.
"Across the board, demand for premium flat-panel technologies and solutions
is growing," said Ron Snaidauf, vice president, Commercial Products, LG
Electronics USA, Inc. "As digital solutions rapidly become viable options for
business owners to reach their customers, LG is well-positioned to provide these
technologies to enhance the consumer experience and encourage interaction."
From Ideation to Implementation
Snaidauf highlighted his company's approach to this expanding commercial
digital display marketplace. With in-house research and development, and
manufacturing expertise at its core, LG Electronics offers communications and
system integration professionals a single point-of-contact to ensure seamless
technology and solution integration.
From product development to final installation, LG Commercial Products
develops solutions to address the specific needs and requirements of the
professional communications and system integration industry. The combination of
LG's global manufacturing capabilities and its Chicago-based Commercial Products
sales and technology teams make LG Electronics "an agile, single-source supplier
of best-in-class solutions," Snaidauf noted.
LG's dedicated sales force and customer service team are committed to
supporting the varied number of commercial venues. Snaidauf explained that these
experts are available around the clock, working hand-in-hand with professionals
to customize commercial applications and solutions, including:
* For education -- Touch-screen panels can provide ways for students to
find their way to classrooms on campus.
* For entertainment venues -- The Pro:Idiom(TM) digital rights management
system and MPEG-4 decoding technology allow delivery of high-value HDTV
content.
* For stadiums -- LG's IP (Internet Protocol) solution controls from one
to many flat-panel displays in large venue applications.
Snaidauf said LG's strategic partnerships help to enhance access to
innovative and forward-thinking commercial solutions. With digital signage fast
becoming a primary source for advertising content, the need for updating this
content quickly and efficiently is rapidly increasing.
One of LG's partners, Triveni Digital, offers SkyScraper(TM) Ensignia, an
integrated turnkey suite of products that optimizes bandwidth utilization and
allows for scheduled content distribution. Advertising content displayed can
range from simple text and still images to full-motion video, with or without
audio. LG screens with integrated controllers simplify installations and
maintenance while reducing footprint requirements.
Additionally, LG's partnership with DIRECTV(R) addresses the industry trend
focused on creating a home-like experience for consumers. Business owners
looking to provide high-definition content to their venues will find LG's
integrated LCD and plasma HDTVs with built-in MPEG-4 decoding technology make
this possible. The MPEG-4 technology standard provides compatibility with the
more than 150 national HD channels and 1,500 local broadcast HD and digital
channels scheduled to launch on DIRECTV.
Robust Selection of Flat-Panel Displays
From the 19-inch FLATRON LCD monitor (L1918S-BN) to the 71-inch plasma HDTV
display (71PY1M), LG's vast line of commercial plasma displays and LCD TVs and
monitors will be displayed in multiple vignettes throughout LG's InfoComm 2007
booth, highlighting innovative and integrated technology solutions for business
applications today.
With its complete technology classroom solution, integrated HD technology,
centralized video content and display control and wide-viewing technologies, LG
is well-equipped to meet the demands of the various channel markets, including
education, restaurant/bar, entertainment and business.
Additionally, LG's integrated "Public Display Settings," featured in LG's
PC5DC plasma display series, allow custom installers to clone settings and
easily apply them across multiple units, ideal for stadium boxes to restaurants
and bars as well as retail locations. LG continues to meet the industry's need
for elegance and seamless continuity between digital signage and its
surroundings with the M4210 LCD series, sporting 29 mm super-thin bezel to help
emphasize the programming over the hardware.
With LCDs up to 55 inches and plasmas up to 71 inches, LG is able to meet the
healthcare industry's vast needs for digital solutions in waiting rooms,
solaria, cafeterias, meeting rooms and doctor's offices.
Integrated, Innovative Technologies
Understanding the growing demand for innovative technologies that are easily
incorporated into business owners' networks, LG has integrated a variety of new
technologies into its commercial products.
This month, LG is delivering the industry's first integrated LCD and plasma
HDTVs with built-in MPEG-4 decoding technology for displaying
satellite-delivered high-definition (HD) content. Since this MPEG-4 technology
is integrated into these sets, with the compressed data, more HD channels become
available to the consumer.
LG also is the first in the industry to include the industry-standard
Pro:Idiom(TM) digital rights management (DRM) system, a robust, highly secure
technology platform that helps to assure rapid, broad deployment of HDTV and
other high-value digital content. This DRM solution was developed to meet the
requirements of high-value content providers to effectively protect digital
video and audio content, provide the most cost-effective solution for
integrators, PPV providers and manufacturers, offer a low implementation
complexity to allow easy adoption by all parties, and allow system
specifications to be controlled by stakeholders in the respective industries.
Offering business owners diverse and innovative options to reach their
customers, LG's new Internet Protocol (IP) Solution technology enables the
digital signage industry to deliver video content to multiple locations with
centralized video content and display control capability. Its new M4210C-BA
model along with M3701C-BA and M3201C-BA models utilize the company's IP
Solution for integrated networking designed specifically for LG displays. The
widescreen M4210 series is capable of portrait (vertical) or landscape
(horizontal) orientation, further addressing the digital signage industry's need
for maximizing space and customizing its digital signage network.

| SANYO PRESENTATION TECHNOLOGIES DEMONSTRATES WORLD'S SHORTEST THROW DISTANCE LCD PROJECTOR AT INFOCOMM |

|
- New and
revolutionary projection technology offers versatile horizontal or vertical
placement with the new PLC-XL50 LCD Projector - Fixed ultra-short focus lens and proprietary optical engine facilitates the projection of images up to 80-inches from a distance of about 3-inches - Optimal projection technology for the classrooms, conference rooms and advertising INFOCOMM - ANAHEIM, CA - June 19, 2007 -- SANYO, one of the world's largest manufacturers of 3LCD projectors will demonstrate the PLC-XL50 LCD Projector during INFOCOMM this week in Anaheim, CA. The unique short throw distance of the PLC-XL50 allows projection in virtually any environment, particularly areas that traditional projectors can not be used, such as floors and desktops. "The PLC-XL50 will be the projector of choice for many space constrained applications, particularly in the educational and public information markets," says Mark Holt, the Vice President and General Manager for SANYO's Presentation Technologies Division. "This is a powerful and revolutionary display tool for the office, digital signage (electronic advertising) and classrooms, creating a more impressive ambience in any location." In order for SANYO to shorten the projection distance of the PLC-XL50, new large diameter aspheric (non-spherical) lens and high-precision aspheric mirror technology were developed. A new optical engine was also developed, which enables an 80-inch projection from the short distance of about 3-inches (8 cm). This creates an opportunity to project extremely large images in any room or space that is available. The proprietary optical and cooling mechanism technology used in the PLC-XL50 allows both vertical and horizontal projection. The new optical engine was created with a high-precision aspheric mirror combined with a distortion correction mechanism lens, enabling large magnification without distortion, even from ultra-short distances. To allow projection either vertically or horizontally, a special cooling mechanism was also essential. The resulting solution is a one-way flow system consisting of an air intake and exhaust mechanism on the main body of the projector -- thus allowing optimal positioning of the main components. By shortening the distance for projection, the options for installation are greatly improved, which includes floor, tabletop and wall mount projection. The variety of applications is almost limitless, providing effective, quick and easy presentations or announcements. Projecting a large screen on the floor in a pre-school creates a new style of teaching and classroom interaction. - When installing the projector directly above the screen or blackboard in classroom, the light that once entered the teachers' eyes and long shadows are a thing of the past. - Used as a tabletop projector, images can be projected on a dark surface allowing designers and architects to see their designs more visually for review or additional inspiration. - The projector can be used in department stores to advertise sale products in hallways or on open floor spaces, optimizing the use of all available space. - It is still possible to project large images when placing the projector directly next to a wall in a small office or meeting room. -The projector can be used to make announcements on the ceiling, wall or floor at the entrance of a business or in a lobby. Additional features include Top and Bottom Keystone Correction for proper alignment of the projector, a Color Board Mode, which allows adjustment of the hue when projecting an image on a colored (non-white) surface so that it appears to be projected on a white surface. The additional Black Board Mode enables educational institutions to use the projector with all standardized educational boards. The PLC-XL50 has been outfitted with a built-in vibration sensor alert. An alarm sounds when the unit is picked up, proving to be an effective theft-deterrent. The unit turns on automatically when the power cord is plugged into an electrical outlet and with the Easy-Off function it's possible to remove the power cord without waiting for the machine to cool down, which is convenient for quickly clearing away the area after a presentation. Other Specifications Brightness: 2000 lumens Resolution: 1024 x 768 Aspect Ratio: 4:3 Audio: Built-in mono speaker with 2watts of power PC I/O: Mini D-sub 15-pin Input, Mini D-sub 15-pin (Input or Monitor out) Video Input: Component Input (RCAx3), Composite (RCA), S-Video Audio: Stereo mini-jack input and output, Analog stereo input (RCAx2) Service Port: Mini DIN 8-pin Dimensions: 14.75 (W) x 7.75 (H) x 19.5 (D) inches (374 x 196.8 x 495 mm) Weight: 17.25 lbs. Digital signage is rapidly becoming the new medium to display digital marketing solutions for today's advertising. By using targeted advertising that communicates directly to consumers via displays in public venues, digital signage can deliver dynamic, timely messages during the purchase process.
Klegg's digital signage products feature industry-leading technology such as:

Content distribution can be individually controlled to selected devices.
Klegg is the exclusive distributor of this technology for digital signage.

dnp UNVEILS SUPERNOVA™ MOBILE SCREEN
Portable Version of Award-Winning Supernova Debuts at InfoComm 2007 Booth # 4836
ANAHEIM, CA – June 14, 2007 – dnp, the world's leading supplier of optical projection screen technology has recently revolutionized the industry with the Supernova Screen, the first-ever optical front projection screen that allows viewing in brightly lit environments. The new dnp Supernova Mobile Screen is the portable evolution of the award winning Supernova Screen family. The Supernova Mobile is ideal for presentations on the go. This advanced optical front projection screen is quick to set up and conveniently rolls back into its lightweight metal case for easy transport and storage. Exceptionally high-contrast, vivid images in a handy, portable format, make the Supernova Mobile perfect for situations where viewing locations and conditions change.
“Contrast is what gives a picture depth, nuance, atmosphere,” stated Manfred Freiberger , senior account manager for dnp USA. “With Supernova Mobile you get up to 10 times more contrast. And since optical screens filter out unwanted reflections, dnp can deliver this quality even in broad daylight. Finally, no more darkened rooms or yawning audiences due to low lighting in a room.”
For the first time ever, the Supernova Mobile allows presentations to be performed with the lights on, where speakers are free to maintain eye contact with the audience. This allows them to read their facial expressions for instance, or clarify a point by quickly drawing on a whiteboard, hold up a product sample for the group to see, and keep every viewer captivated.
The Supernova Mobile was created by applying the award-winning Supernova Screen surface to an ultra-thin yet durable polymer backing. The backing material resists light from behind and also serves as an attractive frame around the image area.
The Supernova Mobile delivers up to ten times higher contrast than standard front screens. The technology used to develop Supernova is based on a revolutionary high-contrast filter that allows the projected image to be reflected from the screen, effectively absorbing incident light from other angles such as windows and room lighting. As a result, the screen is virtually unaffected by ambient light. Supreme black levels are balanced with an ergonomic brightness level to create vivid images with full color saturation to prevent eyestrain regardless of viewing position.
Complete with foldable supports to mount the screen either on a table or floor (depending on the screen size) and a metal case for storage, the Supernova Mobile can easily be taken along for use in various locations. It fits into a car and is ideal for the travelling sales rep. After unfolding the built-in supports, the smaller 40” screen unrolls horizontally and stands on a table. The larger 80” screen is unrolled vertically and stands on the floor. Supernova Mobile is intended for use with a table-mounted projector.
During the upcoming audio/visual tradeshow, InfoComm 2007, June 19-21, 2007 in Anaheim, California, the Supernova Mobile will be featured at dnp booth # 4836. dnp will also showcase other products from the award winning Supernova line such as the fixed Supernova One Screen, the tiled Supernova Infinity and the retractable Supernova Flex. dnp will also showcase three high-end rear projection screens for meeting and control rooms; dnp’s new Wide Angle ScreenÔ, dnp Sigma Screen™ and dnp Giant Wide Angle ScreenÔ.

Kortek, Innovation leader of Professional Grade
Digital Signage Solutions Will Showcase its Forward Thinking Product Line at
InfoComm 2007 in Anaheim, California, June 19-21, 2007
June, 2007 - Vol 1, Issue 1

|
Dear William, |
|
Kortek Global is proud to introduce the latest in Digital Signage solutions from Kortek that save time and money. By embedding a PC (microATX motherboard) into the monitor Kortek eliminates the hassle of purchasing and dealing with multiple vendors to achieve the same outcome. The cost of purchasing and shipping components and peripherals such as players or mini/thin PCs, DVI/RGB extenders, USB extenders, hidden CPU mounting adapter and various cabling are eliminated. The install cost of opening walls and running cabling to a room 150 feet away is eliminated. All that is needed to install the Kortek solution is a flat panel mount and a power input. The Kortek solution is simple and sexy. If content updates are frequent, choose to utilize the wireless LAN card or hardwire it with CAT5. If that's not an option, manual updates can be achieved through DVD/CD, Flash drive or external hard drive input.
Another great example of Kortek's forward thinking is their all-in-one model, which is the convergence of three must have technologies: LCD flat panel, full PC with Windows XP Pro and Optical Touch over the viewing area. This powerful combination unleashes the future of interactive Digital Signage (iDS). US representation for Kortek, questions why not let clients/customers interact with the content on the screen the way they do with a website? Just think how empowering the internet has been for business let alone the consumer: it has been life changing! iDS will do the same for out-of-home (OOH) advertising, and Kortek's all-in-one is the answer to affordable iDS. Digital Signage is fast becoming a cost-of-business for many companies. So, why not choose the right product from the beginning with the most flexibility? Kortek has the answer to keeping costs low and panel quality high while providing you with the latest technology.

Click! What if students had a universal remote that controlled their learning experience?
In the blockbuster film ‘Click,’ Adam Sandler’s character Michael Newman has the ability to fast-forward or rewind different parts of his life with the click of a remote-control. A stretch of the imagination to most, this Hollywood tall-tale isn’t that tall if you’re a student at Lynn University .

Single Point-of-Contact for Display and Application Solutions
Ensures Seamless Integration
ANAHEIM, Calif., June 19, 2007 – LG Electronics is showcasing one of the industry’s most robust flat-panel display solutions this week at InfoComm 2007 (Booth #2309). From education to airports and restaurants to casinos, LG Electronics offers industry professionals some of the most dynamic, premium flat-panel technologies and digital signage solutions in the market.
“Across the board, demand for premium flat-panel technologies and solutions is growing,” said Ron Snaidauf, vice president, Commercial Products, LG Electronics USA, Inc. “As digital solutions rapidly become viable options for business owners to reach their customers, LG is well-positioned to provide these technologies to enhance the consumer experience and encourage interaction.”
From Ideation to Implementation
Snaidauf highlighted his company’s approach to this expanding commercial digital display marketplace. With in-house research and development, and manufacturing expertise at its core, LG Electronics offers communications and system integration professionals a single point-of-contact to ensure seamless technology and solution integration.
From product development to final installation, LG Commercial Products develops solutions to address the specific needs and requirements of the professional communications and system integration industry. The combination of LG’s global manufacturing capabilities and its Chicago-based Commercial Products sales and
technology teams make LG Electronics “an agile, single-source supplier of best-in-class solutions,” Snaidauf noted.
LG’s dedicated sales force and customer service team are committed to supporting the varied number of commercial venues. Snaidauf explained that these experts are available around the clock, working hand-in-hand with professionals to customize commercial applications and solutions, including:
| For education - Touch-screen panels can provide ways for students to find their way to classrooms on campus. | |
| For entertainment venues – The Pro:Idiom™ digital rights management system and MPEG-4 decoding technology allow delivery of high-value HDTV content. | |
| For stadiums – LG’s IP (Internet Protocol) solution controls from one to many flat-panel displays in large venue applications. |
Snaidauf said LG’s strategic partnerships help to enhance access to innovative and forward-thinking commercial solutions. With digital signage fast becoming a primary source for advertising content, the need for updating this content quickly and efficiently is rapidly increasing.
One of LG’s partners, Triveni Digital, offers SkyScraper™ Ensignia, an integrated turnkey suite of products that optimizes bandwidth utilization and allows for scheduled content distribution. Advertising content displayed can range from simple text and still images to full-motion video, with or without audio. LG screens with integrated controllers simplify installations and maintenance while reducing footprint requirements.
Additionally, LG’s partnership with DIRECTV® addresses the industry trend focused on creating a home-like experience for consumers. Business owners looking to provide high-definition content to their venues will find LG’s integrated LCD and plasma HDTVs with built-in MPEG-4 decoding technology make this possible. The MPEG-4 technology standard provides compatibility with the more than 150 national HD channels and 1,500 local broadcast HD and digital channels scheduled to launch on DIRECTV.
Robust Selection of Flat-Panel Displays
From the 19-inch FLATRON LCD monitor (L1918S-BN) to the 71-inch plasma
HDTV display (71PY1M), LG’s vast line of commercial plasma displays and LCD TVs and monitors will be displayed in multiple vignettes throughout LG’s InfoComm 2007 booth, highlighting innovative and integrated technology solutions for business applications today.
With its complete technology classroom solution, integrated HD technology, centralized video content and display control and wide-viewing technologies, LG is well-equipped to meet the demands of the various channel markets, including education, restaurant/bar, entertainment and business.
Additionally, LG’s integrated “Public Display Settings,” featured in LG’s PC5DC plasma display series, allow custom installers to clone settings and easily apply them across multiple units, ideal for stadium boxes to restaurants and bars as well as retail locations. LG continues to meet the industry’s need for elegance and seamless continuity between digital signage and its surroundings with the M4210 LCD series, sporting 29 mm super-thin bezel to help emphasize the programming over the hardware.
With LCDs up to 55 inches and plasmas up to 71 inches, LG is able to meet the healthcare industry’s vast needs for digital solutions in waiting rooms, solaria, cafeterias, meeting rooms and doctor’s offices.
Integrated, Innovative Technologies
Understanding the growing demand for innovative technologies that are easily incorporated into business owners’ networks, LG has integrated a variety of new technologies into its commercial products.
This month, LG is delivering the industry’s first integrated LCD and plasma HDTVs with built-in MPEG-4 decoding technology for displaying satellite-delivered high-definition (HD) content. Since this MPEG-4 technology is integrated into these sets, with the compressed data, more HD channels become available to the consumer.
LG also is the first in the industry to include the industry-standard Pro:Idiom™ digital rights management (DRM) system, a robust, highly secure technology platform that helps to assure rapid, broad deployment of HDTV and other high-value digital content. This DRM solution was developed to meet the requirements of high-value
content providers to effectively protect digital video and audio content, provide the most cost-effective solution for integrators, PPV providers and manufacturers, offer a low implementation complexity to allow easy adoption by all parties, and allow system specifications to be controlled by stakeholders in the respective industries.
Offering business owners diverse and innovative options to reach their customers, LG’s new Internet Protocol (IP) Solution technology enables the digital signage industry to deliver video content to multiple locations with centralized video content and display control capability. Its new M4210C-BA model along with M3701C-BA and M3201C-BA models utilize the company’s IP Solution for integrated networking designed specifically for LG displays. The widescreen M4210 series is capable of portrait (vertical) or landscape (horizontal) orientation, further addressing the digital signage industry’s need for maximizing space and customizing its digital signage network.

Designed for the professional market, the elegant Acclaim combines several important engineering achievements, making it an essential component offering superb performance, flexibility and utility to custom theaters, visual presentation systems and other commercial and professional applications, regardless of venue. It embodies Algolith’s vision of providing superlative image quality significantly beyond anything now available, and further advances Algolith’s position at the forefront of digital image enhancement. Foremost among the Acclaim’s many features is its AnyPlace™ flexible projector placement, which gives integrators the freedom to place video projectors virtually anywhere in a room while maintaining every element of the Acclaim’s outstanding performance. This unusual flexibility is especially valuable in asymmetric venues like churches, other houses of worship, town halls, restaurants, bars and the like, which often contain unintended structural obstacles. AnyPlace projector placement frees integrators and installers from having to present clients with the need to choose between architecture and A/V. No other processor-scaler includes this feature, which is, however, also available in single-function products costing more than the Acclaim. The Acclaim features the powerful Realta HQV™ Video Engine by Silicon Optix, the leading supplier of advanced video/image digital processing integrated circuits. The uncompromising Realta platform sets a new benchmark standard of video excellence called Hollywood Quality Video, or HQV, making the Acclaim ideal for use with Standard Definition DVDs, Satellite TV, and digital cable signals. Pursuing Perfection The Acclaim includes front-panel controls and a bright active-matrix LCD screen for detailed settings menus. It also comes with a remote control designed for its specific capabilities. The Acclaim achieves its remarkable performance by combining several proprietary features. Key among them is AnyPlace™ flexible projector placement, which extends keystone correction both horizontally (up to 80 degrees, +/-40) and vertically (up to 70 degrees, +/-35), giving users the freedom to place projectors virtually anywhere in a room while maintaining the highest quality graphics, fine text, and crisp high-definition video. This is especially useful in Houses of Worship, Concert Halls and AV Staging applications where clear sightlines are unavailable. Also significant is Acclaim’s True 1080i to 1080p De-Interlacing capability, which uses the full four-field processing window for HD video de-interlacing and cadence detection, preserving the rich details in HD imagery, instead of discarding half the resolution of HD images as is done by conventional image processors. A true 10-bit diagonal interpolator removes so-called jaggies and stair-stepping artifacts from de-interlaced video sources without blurring the image. A proprietary Noise Reduction algorithm from Algolith’s Intellectual Property portfolio is available as an option to reduce the analog and MPEG noise artifacts that plague DVD and broadcast sources. The fully automatic adaptive software adds a fourth dimension of pixel-by-pixel noise and motion measurement, detecting and reducing the analog and MPEG noise that currently plague DVD and broadcast sources. Acclaim’s exceptional detail
enhancement improves the image detail on a pixel-by-pixel basis,
delivering standard-definition (SD) quality that approaches HD, instead of
the blurring effect often encountered when watching SD images on HD
displays. Acclaim’s Automatic Per Pixel Video/Film Detection capability allows the processor to make pixel-level decisions when processing film pixels as film and video pixels as video — rather than frame-level decisions, which can lead to visible artifacts in video titles over film backgrounds. The Acclaim HD Video Processor-Scaler is available now from authorized Algolith dealers at a suggested price of $3,995. It can be seen with Algolith’s other outstanding products in Booth 1429, Anaheim Convention Center, during INFOCOMM 07. About Algolith
For the Home Theater and Digital TV market, Algolith manufactures video processors and scalers — the Dragonfly, Mosquito, Mosquito HDMI™ and Flea — that dramatically heighten image quality using proprietary Algolith technology, including its 3D Dynamic and MPEG noise reduction, block artifact reduction, and de-interlacing and scaling technologies.

Interwrite Learning recently unveiled the new Workspace software and Cricket clicker. Workspace is a next generation educational software application for creating, teaching and assessing student performance using digital content. Used in concert with an Interwrite Board, Pad, Panel or student response system, Workspace provides teachers the means to interact with any form of digital content, while engaging their students in a way never before possible. One of the most notable new features of Workspace are the new Interwrite Sims, a library of instructional animations that provide an engaging interactive learning experience. Teachers can use a Sim as a warm up exercise, to teach a difficult concept, to integrate into a lesson or to just make learning more fun.
The
Cricket is a small, radio-frequency (RF)
student response handset that simplifies the task of assessing student
performance in the classroom. Interwrite Cricket joins the already popular and
award-winning family of student assessment products developed by Interwrite
Learning, a leader in interactive classroom technology solutions. The main
difference between Cricket and other PRS solutions from Interwrite Learning is
the simplicity of the device. The company’s popular PRS RF solution is ideal
for professors who want a very complete, robust solution. However, there are
several professors who wanted a personal response system to simply ask
true/false or multiple choice questions, and the PRS RF proved more
time-consuming for them to set up. This is how Cricket was born. Interwrite
Learning wanted to offer options for all instructors and classrooms to reap the
benefits of a student assessment system.
In addition, Interwrite Learning is going to be announcing a brand new product at InfoComm! This announcement is under embargo until the opening day of the conference, June 19. Can you honor the embargo?

| Touch-screen monitors - LG’s touch-screen flat-panel HD LCD monitors offer another dynamic opportunity for classroom interactivity, enabling the students to have hands-on access to lessons, campus maps and more. The interactive touch screens will be made available in large screen sizes customized to meet customers’ specific needs for flat-panel monitors. |
| LCD monitors (L1953TX-BF and L226WT-BF) - LG’s desktop 4:3 and widescreen LCD monitors offer high brightness and contrast, paired with the tilt- and swivel-adjustable stands, offer teachers a versatile tool for sharing content with students. | |

Why? Because Lynn University deployed Apreso lecture capture to better serve their students individual learning styles. Invisible in the classroom, Apreso captures audio and video of a professor as well as any projected course visual aids and automatically streams a rich media version of the class to the Web for student playback or download to iPod or MP3 player. Used by an array of Lynn students, this technology has proven to be especially helpful to students with learning disabilities in The Institute for Achievement in Learning.
With Apreso students at Lynn can watch their lectures as many times as their favorite movies – rather than learning lines, they learn concepts. With DVD-like controls, Apreso enables students to fast-forward, rewind, start, and stop their lectures with the ‘click’ of a mouse
NEW AT INFOCOMM 2007, DECORATOR MIRROR with ‘MAGIC CURTAIN’ MAKES FLAT PANEL TV’s APPEAR and DISAPPEAR WHEN NOT IN USE
“Magic Curtain” Behind the Mirror Silently Rises to Reveal a Hidden TV While the Decorator Mirror and Frame Preserve the Designer’s Original Vision for the Room
Fort Lauderdale, Fl. June 19, 2007 –Media Decor, LLC, the world leader in blending elegant design with AV technology, is showing Mirage-Mirror™ at InfoComm 2007. Mirage-Mirror is a revolutionary 2-way flat panel concealment mirror combining a designer-level picture frame, a Lutron Sivoia QED™ system and an advanced beam splitter technology that produces bright video images and an unprecedented level of high mirror reflectivity.
At the touch of a button on the remote control, a Lutron Sivoia QED system silently (<44 dB) and quickly raises a special blackout curtain into the top of the designer frame magically revealing a flat panel TV with clear images and vibrant color. The illusion of the TV image appearing through the mirror from the bottom to the top is dramatic. In the off mode, the blackout curtain is lowered between the mirror and the flat panel to dramatically increase the apparent reflectivity of the mirror while completely concealing the hidden flat panel TV from view under any light conditions. Blacking out or masking the TV behind the beam splitter is not critical.
“Unique in the industry, Mirage-Mirror creates a dramatic illusion by raising a curtain behind the screen to reveal the TV from the bottom to the top,” said Jonathan Graham, president of Media Décor. “Mirage-Mirror will delight viewers and impress guests each time they power it up. It’s the ideal solution for decorators, video enthusiasts and magic lovers.”
Always a show stopper, visitors to InfoComm booth # 7247 can switch between mirror mode and video mode to see the “magic curtain” illusion first hand. The high fidelity video image is made possible by Media Decor’s unique patent pending beam-splitter technology. Only a portion of light is reflected from the beam splitter while the rest is transmitted through it unaffected. The proprietary glass (beam-splitter) provides the best combination of reflectance and transmission for viewing the TV through the glass while ‘on’ and acting as a mirror when the TV is ‘off’. Unlike other glass, there is no tinting or 'sunglasses effect'.
While the mirrors can be used as designer accents and to make any room appear larger they are ‘decorator’ mirrors and not of cosmetic mirror quality because unlike typical 2 way mirrors or 'half-silvered' mirrors, the Mirage-Mirror glass is coated with a dielectric film, not a metallic film. Since metallic films absorb light, those mirrors are not well suited for video transmission. This dielectric coating is typically about 5 times as efficient as metallic coatings in its light transmission ability enabling clear images and vibrant color. All of the Mirage-Mirror products are custom made by one of the leading optical coating companies in the world.
The extensive Mirage-Mirror catalog of mirror frames includes many styles of painted wood, gold leaf inlay, and magnificent hand-carved and custom offerings from todays most well-know artistic houses such as Larson Juhl and Roma. Upon request, Media Decor can also create completely new and unique frames to fit any interior mode, or integrate a Mirage-Mirror into an existing frame.
Availability, Sizes and Pricing
Available now, Mirage-Mirror is available in recess or wall-mounted models. Mirage-Mirror accommodates plasma or LCD TV’s up to 65-inches. Wall-mount versions include Vent-Assist, a thermo switch controlled ventilation system. Prices start at $4700.

National Science Foundation Taps Mersive to
Define Next Generation Media Standard
Booth #15023
Stingray™ for Ultra Definition Displays to Debut at InfoComm
LEXINGTON, Ky., June 14, 2007 – Mersive Technologies, an emerging display technology company that is redefining the ease with which ultra resolution, multi-projector displays can be designed, configured and maintained, today announced it is partnering with the National Science Foundation to define a new standard for how media can be transmitted, manipulated, and displayed on Ultra Definition (UD) devices. Defined as having greater resolution than high definition (HD), ultra definition display devices support hundreds of millions of pixels of resolution and enable a variety of innovative uses. With the announcement of this initiative, Mersive and its partners plan to look beyond traditional video broadcast and transmission standards to develop Stingray™, a “standard beyond standards.”
Mersive will lead the creation of a standard that is hardware independent yet will address the challenge of managing media on displays that are very different from a desktop monitor or HD television. These include multi-projector arrays, large-scale LED clusters, mobile and micro projector displays, and electronic paper.
“As the pace of display innovation increases, older video standards are no longer appropriate,” says Dr. Christopher Jaynes, CTO of Mersive. “A universal standard that allows media to exploit the next generation of displays, regardless of underlying hardware or configuration, is needed.”
A leading developer of ultra definition display technologies, Mersive has produced solutions used to automatically calibrate multiple projection devices into a single high-resolution palette of pixels. Working with the National Science Foundation, Mersive is in the process of forming the standards board that will help define Stingray and position it for adoption in the emerging marketplace of ultra definition display.
Mersive will be showcasing a prototype implementation of Stingray at the InfoComm Exhibition in Anaheim , California from June 19th – 21st, booth 15023. For more information about Mersive, visit www.mersive.com.
